    Most likely this is the case. Terrorist bombs are not usually known to cause a 'Pancake collapse'. Plus once again it's Leicester, :P

    Other than the fact I used to have a girlfriend from there not much, I just think of all the terrorist hotspot, Leicester wouldn't be THE place to strike... its very dull, no terrorist would ever strike there :P

    don't think it was a terrorist attack. they wouldn't go for such a small target.

    I agree on the gas explosion, though I find it strange that it did so much damage in exactly ONE tiny space, totally collapsing it to nothing but rubble, without resulting in the two next-door buildings receiving any damage whatsoever.

    Either it was very focused/deliberate, or British building and fire-code safety regulations are a modern marvel to behold! :P

    It's not uncommon for a gas explosion to only take out the house where the gas has leaked and damage any adjacent ones. Either British houses are hardcore at resisting explosions or gas isn't that destructive.

    Yeah, I've seen damage like that before too. My assumption was also gas.
