Discord is purging alt-right, white nationalist and hateful servers

My only fear is that "Hateful" Discords blend into "Discords we disagree with".

I mean, I heavily disagree with the alt-Right and I would ban them from speaking on my personal Discord server (And if I owned a place of business, I'd ban them from speaking there). However, as happens on this forum, anything that is basically "American Conservative" is just instantly blasted as being racist, sexist, bigoted, homophobic, and poor hating.

Hate speech is definitely a reason to remove a server, as they are a private company and probably don't want to be seen as an outlet for these guys. But if they come down to silencing legitimate people with legitimate beliefs then I will have a major problem. Youtube has taken to demonetizing even moderate-progressives (people like Dave Rubin). This isn't about free-speech at this point, its about being fair to both sides. If you don't like Conservatives speaking then you need to ban ALL political talk.

It's kind of like people calling Jordan Peterson a racist, alt right, Islamophobic anti-Semite and a colonialist. He is none of those things, at worst he is just a staunch classic conservative or socially centrist liberal. Both are more middle of the spectrum ideologies. What's even more hilarious is that the alt right don't even like him.

Personally I don't think it's a good idea. If they're on discord can't they be monitored? Wouldn't discord be able to record at least everything that's text based/gather IP's. What's stopping them from just making a server named "the fluffy bunnies" and starting over again? Making it hard for these people to communicate only improves the way they do it in the future.

That shouldn't be Discord's responsibility. They can try to hide as pretty little pink bunnies, but it may hurt their image a tad.
