Preach always has strange opinions. Why i like discussing them.

  2. #22
Oh great, its the weekly shit on Preach thread on this forum...

In any case, I really can't judge on the questing content as I am not on alpha, and this kind of stuff is always subjective anyway. I think Preach is a horde homer in general though, as some of his complaints were weird. Like he complained about the alliance kill and collect quests, but nearly every zone in every expansion of wow has these quests in them. I just think he was more interested in the horde storyline in general tbh.

And even with all of that, blizz could always just pull a jade forest and change the questing up significantly on Kul'Tiras.

I think overall Alliance was favored by North Americans. & ever since the Legion patch, game got over taxing in the grind & over disparaging for the Alliance in the story line, hard working adult WoW gamers just had to rage quit the game... which saw the horde population and Pandaran population remain the same but the Alliance population dropped significantly. WoW lost a lot of business and now they can't imagine a way to bring North American gamers back to it & would rather cater to a horde population that is also declining due to same reasons the North American subscribers declined.

And how does Preach know that the Alliance zones don't tie into future content. For all we know, we will be fighting queen Azshara at some point in the expansion. And Kul Tirans are suppossed to be sea monster hunters. Now put two and two together.

Except that the Zandalar content actually has closer ties to Azshara than Kul Tiras so far. And just being sea monster hunters doesn't create a plot tie-in on its own.

"omg guys it's alpha wait for it to be released!"
"omg guys it's already released they can't change it now why didn't you say anything during alpha"

because as he explains the quest are throw away "collect a bunch of onions" bullshit that has no way to tie into anything while horde gets proper story quest, his point is that horde quest are majority story related content with a few mostly pointless side quest while it's the opposite way around for alliance

From the screen shots I have seen, the Alliance zone look way better. Not sure about the quests or anything though

No one has complained about the art direction of Alliance zones.

Considering a ton of people love drustvar and the quests in TS his opinion seems to be in the minority but who knows. I’ve enjoyed both zones on the alpha.

It’s just an opinion though not sure why people are freaking out.

Bellular said the Alliance zones were better

Except a lot of the quests aren't even in yet. And there a whole other alliance zone left.

I think it's just people like their own interests...Some people might like the Horde ones better, or even the other ones...

You're absolutely right, it doesn't. But it's too damn suspicious that blizzard introduced those big badass seasoned sea monster hunters just as we're about to deal with the naga, azshara and possibly N'zoth himself. All of which make up for the most threatening sea creatures in the wow universe. Kul tirans are bound to play a role in that.

Blizzard always had a fetish on the Horde and especially Orcs. Right now i see that Blizzard is working on Horde content, more Horde content and even more Horde Content. Zandalari Druid Forms is; maybe except the Moonkin Form simply legendary, the customization of Zandalari is big and Draenor Orcs is insane, and the only thing we see on Alliance side is Dwarves with Black skin and fiery eyes and that's all folks. Ok, and Anvils as totems, but why does they have Anvils as totems; if somebody has anvils as totems, then it would be the Bronzebeard dwarves. If the totens were mini-molerat machines, yes then it would fit for them.

And that's everything. They get a molerat-machine for whatever, probably with a model from vanilla. And really, nobody wants to play a dwarf. Horde instead get everything else, upright trolls, upright Orcs, and all in all the better deal. Heck; i really didn't see a single alliance-player ride with this abomination of an faction-specific mount. Horde instead it's much cooler: if you can ride a dinosaur you ride a dinosaur. And really: the lamp pole on such a mount is build to break your neck when you ride this mount. Was done intentionally with blizzard passive-aggressiveness that Alliance-player should die. Did they already repeated on blizzcon years ago.

All in all it's Horde bias all over again. But luckily that's only the b-team that gave us WoD. So hopefully after this crapy filler-expansion and WoD 2.0 we get a good expansion again from the a-team with good story for both factions.

ITT: salty allies getting saltier because they will hold no longer the spotlight after 3 xpacs in a row where they seemed to be the only faction in WoW.

Nobbel is stated that most of ally quests are currently phased/turned off, hinting that, maybe they want ppl to test horde quest first so they focus where they want to tweak. I guess they shouldnt have rushed through the alpha like they did.
Yeah this makes absolutely no sense lol

    - yea if you dont read it you dont get it
    - I dont care
    - HAHAHAHAAH give us a break pls, everyone can play Horde and Alliance,

i think blizzard is working more on Horde side FIRSTbecause Alliance got the "good part" in Legion and a lot of Horde protagonism got cutted like Baine in Highmountain and Sylvannas vs Greymane story, the fact that alliance got a unique quest arround Varians death and the fact that we travel in the vindicar an "alliance" space ship, i dont remember the Horde having a spaceship and traveling to Argus next the alliance, oh yeah we were invited, hu, now guess who is in charge of that vessel, oh yea.... Lightforged Draenei.... yeah this doesnt mean that Alliance is not going to get good story telling, great lorewalking and an awesome questline to recruit Kultirans and their fleet. But FOR THE LOVE OF THE LOA ITS AN ALPHA!!!.

Alliance side seems vastly unfinished, what is out is very weak and boring. I would think that it's going to be a while until we actually see the alliance content added.
