One thing I just realized, there's a Libertarian candidate running also, who has 0.6% of the vote so far (1304 votes). His presence may end up impacting the outcome of the election. There's no telling who he took more votes away from, but libertarians usually take more votes away from the GOP candidate than the Dem.
Of course, with it being known the race would be so close, most of his votes are probably from people who wouldn't have bothered to vote anyway.
This underscores how important it is to go out and vote, because every vote matters.

The joke is that both of them will probably be sitting in the house after midterms because the district is being split into 2. One more GoP friendly and the other much more Dem friendly.Lamb (D) should expect a pretty healthy boost from uncounted absentees. Why? 1) They've historically skewed Dem 2) More than half of them are from Allegheny Co. (despite Allegheny only being ~43% of #PA18).
What's astounding is the amount of money that the GoP poured into the election for only a few months. $10 million+

The reason Saccone did so poorly apparently is the unions, which have quite a lot of sway in the district ( especially dem heavy areas ) all pushed for Lamb against Saccone.
The reason? Saccone a right to work guy.

There is...but rechecking there isn't one for congressional, or presidential races. There is a mandatory one if the difference is less then 0.5% but only for purely state elections.
Either way with a race THIS close, less then 100 votes now. Yeah there's going to be a recount.

The commissioner in Washington County just said they're not even going to start counting the absentee ballots until tomorrow, so we're not going to know the winner until then.
99% reported and within 100 votes....
Gerrymander harder I guess? looooooool
Well that was a sudden jump.
