Joe Biden would've crushed Trump in his home state of Pennsylvania and would've played well in the rust belt the place where Hillary lost.

Hillary shouldve gotten the clue when she lost to Obama and when she had all that baggage and the dems shouldve come all out and say Joe is our man but they didnt and this is where we ended up!

But the Dems still dont have a candidate ready to take on Trump

Now i would love to see Joe Biden but is age gonna be a factor? Where is the next Barack Obama?
well we did sort of have one last election but the dnc kicked him out in favor of fast tracking the heir apparent.

Your quoted comments certainly do not indicate that Democrats are not forward looking. There is roughly 6 months before any serious conversation is going to be made for the next POTUS election. The focus on Congress is key at the moment and current, forward looking, activities are on point: near term goal - Democrat control of the two chambers of Congress. The long term forward looking goal is replacing Trump.

    Edit:
Changed "a year" to "6 months".
When i mean looking back iam talking about a Hillary esque candidate in her shape.

That is what i mean they should not look back and try to find a candidate in her mold *cough Elizabeth Warren *cough *cough

The Rust belt is now the key to the Whitehouse and Dems need to find the right canditate that can take those 3 states of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.

The Hispanic leaning states of Nevada, New Mexico and Colorado is already in the bag for the dems.

So you're making things up to support your statement: (1) Democrats are looking for a new Hilary (2) Democrats are looking at Elizabeth Warren as the next Hilary. Other than anonymous people on the internet, I haven't seen anything to support 1 or 2.

Other than being an older white woman, how is Warren “in the mold of Hillary?”

We should impeach her asap, bad enough she cheated on bill with that pornstar...

Only reason bill doesn't leave is cause he would lose everything in the divorce and be sent back to his home country.

Was any losing candidate be popular? Haven't heard much form Mondale, Kerry, or Romney or Bob Dole. Once you make ot to your party's candidate and lose, you are mostly done. You heard stuff about McCain, but that was mostly the new radicalized republicans and trumpsters, calling him RINO, Traitor, Songbird...

Here i mostly remember Southpark and Simpsons mocking him, and depicture him as widely ignored.
And of course he is often named by climate change deniers as a snakeoil salesman.

He remains popular among environmental focused voters, and I think most of the mainstream Democratic party basically just forgot about him.

I'd be interested to see current polling on Al Gore.

Side note: Al Gore is 70 this year. He will be 72 in 2020. That's younger than Biden, Pelosi, Clinton, Sanders, but probably still not young enough.

No Democratic president over 57 has taken office since before Woodrow Wilson. Only 3 over 52 have taken office in that time - Wilson (57), Truman (55), and LBJ (55). Worth noting is that Truman and LBJ were both VPs older than their respective presidents.

Looking at the late 40s early 50s aged players in the DNC right now, we see: not a whole lot. Murphy (CT), Gillibrand (NY), Harris (CA), and Booker (NJ) are the only ones that jump out at me, and I don't think any of them have the national clout required to mount an effective campaign, at least not without the party leadership backing them.

I hope not...cause otherwise you're being incredibly heartless.

Also -- thinking Biden would have been a shoe in is questionable. He's made a ton of gaffes that would have made for a tough campaign.

Allegedly he's considering a run in 2020. I kind of hope the Dems field a better candidate, but you can be sure as shit he'll get my vote over Trump any day of the week.

I really like Biden. I think he's a stellar statesman.

I also think he's not quite of the temperament we need in the White House. Of course we have Trump so I don't know how much it matters anymore.

I'm fully opposed to him running in 2020. For two primary reasons. 1) He's too linked to Obama and Hillary and political dynasties and the establishment blah blah blah. I don't want to sit through 2 years of hearing how Biden is just a path to getting Hillary in power.

    2) He's too old. Period.

I know the death of his son effected him and his decision but i still feel he made the wrong decision by not challenging Hillary and even though Biden has made alot of gaffes there isnt many skeletons in his closet and he certainly can debate.

20/20 hindsight and everyone thinks he should have ran. However, no one thought Trump would win. And by the time it started looking really bleak, it was too late for Biden to do anything.

We'll see if he takes a shot at it for 2020. He's one of the few babyboomers I would ever vote for in an election.

I agree with most of this - but if no one else puts their hat into the ring - no one else good that is, he might be our only hope. Him and Kamala as VP - or something similar.

    Okay?

Did I miss the memo? Are we trying to elect Hilary as the next presidents to piss off the conservatives?

I have no idea. It's the Trump people that keep bringing up Hillary. Every time something bad about Trump comes out, they try to deflect it by talking about Hillary.

We're at the brink of actually confirming that the pee-pee tapes exist - this is literally all the Trumpsters have at this point.
