Look, you figured out what's wrong with capitalism and why it needs to be regulated.

Because employers DO have all the power. Because employers DO have all the jobs.

Considering it's the employer who also needs an employee to maintain production and operation? I'd say the relationship should be symbiotic. But that also means the employer must guarantee employment for all employees, otherwise the system fails on itself.

Apparently condemning a fascist ideology is the same as being fascist. And who the fuck are you to say I can't be fascist against fascist ideologies?

But you can just say "I QUIT!" and then go starve in the street while the corporation replaces you with another cog. See? Employment is totally voluntary!

Are you pretending there is no social safety net? Or food banks and charities ?

You just HAVE to take a job with THAT employer that has an arbitration clause or die in the streets? Those are the only two options in your mind ?

    This is just silly
People working 2 jobs in the US (at least one part-time) - 7.8 Million (Roughly 4.9% of the workforce)

People working 2 full-time jobs in the US - 360,000 (0.2% of the workforce)

Average time worked weekly by the US Workforce - 34.5 hours

It is basically impossible to starve in the US.

This is an exaggeration. There is a case that in certain positions there is such an imbalance but in general employees do have more power they realize over employers especially in times where unemployment is going so low.

This is probably the correct ruling on the law. It's an unintended consequence of our nonsensical legal system. A lot of this hinges on contracts and administrative remedies, which is light years from common law and even further from what the average person expects as justice.

It's not necessarily a good ruling.

Far too much is being done to curtail redress of grievances in court. We are getting to the point where immortal entities called corporations have rights, even to speech, on the pretense that a fictitious person is a legal person and has the same rights as a natural person. These corporate "citizens" can beat you in court every day of the week because they can out-money almost anyone and literally shit down the neck of a private citizen.

My concern is that this does not end well. I see it as the fluttering butterfly wings that cause a storm once the air current laps around the world.

My employer has rights and plights that come with such a contract, they don't have "all the power" they have some say and so do i even as just a "worker".

Welcome to capitalism. This is why unions and other worker protections are necessary to remedy the inherent imbalance of power.

Let me know when you get around to adopting an ideology that is actually reflective of how business historically and presently operates when unregulated.

Nah, there's only one option; the former.

Nor is it necessarily reduced to that level. The imbalance of bargaining power typically manifests itself more insidiously, in the vein of companies like Wal-Mart, Amazon, and now apparently Tesla.

I dunno why people complain about it.

Americans always preach that unions and workers' protections are bad because only socialists, a.k.a. commies, want that, they always say that the market will sort itself out.

Well, there you have it, you reap what you sow, people got what they're asking for.

Pfft. The Conservatives are better armed. Plus remember the last time we had a violent revolution here, did not end well for the ones who started it.

This was a good decision by the Supreme Court. We need more Conservative Justices.

So all those workers at the Marysville Honda plant here in Ohio, who have no union, are working without weekends off, paid holidays/vacation/sick days? They must have been crazy then to have repeatably rejected the auto workers union to set up there.

It's cute that you think that the outbreak of civil violence is a partisan issue as opposed to a class issue.

Conservatives won't have the strength to lift their guns, after red state policies have starved them enough.

You're aware that benefits of that sort are implemented specifically to avoid the threat of unionisation, right?

Of course. Treat your employees well and they will be encouraged to stay. Unions use to have some value. But now, they are mostly a waste of the workers money. I have worked and been a union member and have held a position of management which I had to deal with them all the time. They are mostly a pain in the ass with no real benefits in the long run for the employees.

That's because they're not working for an American corporation.

ITT: People who have no idea what a worker's union is or the abuse they've caused across many American industries (cf. auto, education, et alia).
