FF6 is one of the six games on my top 3 games on snes list, definitively amongst the besr ff game ever made, and the opera scene makes me smile just thinking about.

In other words... play it or I will rip your lungs out.

The Mafia Championship game I just finished playing. After 2 game days (36 hour days) there were more than 2,500 posts.

VI is also a rare game in general in that it manages to have 18 main characters, almost all of whom are interesting in their own way.

I'm also a fan of the completely irredeemable villain.

You guys are missing some of the best games on SNES.

Of course, they are sports games, so something tells me they aren't your cup of tea.

All great choices. Though it's been long enough since I played Tactics Orge that I'm going to have to do that one again.

The PSP version is amazing. I recommend finding an emulator.

The SNES was before my time...I played FF6 on the PS1.

Which, in itself, had a lot of classic RPG's. The Legend of Dragoon remake when?

Megadrive master old-race. Loved playing these sonic games back then. PS1 close behind with the almighty triangular-titty Croft in Tomb Raider.

I hafta say, music wise there's good singles in each of the final fantasies from 4 onward (yes even 8). Gameplay wise, I'd have to give 6 the hat for largest cast with best support for each cast member's story, though 7 tries. I think 5 though is the first where you could change the ending (granted not a whole lot) by who lived and died in the final fights, though 6 also did it.

Other oldies but goodies (and actually findable somewhat game) are Skies of Arcadia and Grandia II. And can't really forget to give honorable mentions to the Suikoden set (or at least 1 and 2)

I feel pretty bad at it but those intro missions with the Chain Blades were fun.

That's funny because I also played the demo at PAX East and had a lot of fun. And then I used the closed beta code they gave everyone after playing the demo and had even more fun with the full game. But yea if you don't like hunting giant monsters and killing them it's not going to be a game you enjoy.
