I doubt Worg made it as easy as... all Zelda together etc... But would he make all of 1 game, say pokemon, the parriers??

Well, either it's one character of each game = 1 team or it's all stacked as one. Both way are easy. I don't think mixing all of them (like 2 pokemon+2 fireemblem) is a good idea in itself. However there are other factors, such as bad/good guys, where Mario/Wario/Zelda/Link (random example) would make sense.

Im trying to guess at the way teams are set... I wonder how quickly the game will change in favor of people when they find teammates.

I think this is pretty important.

It's one of the things I've been kicking around. Are our teams a mix of multiple characters from across the games or are we all from the same game? Was that in the first post and I missed it?

I can also make a pretty decent guess as to which characters are what depending on the answer to that first question. Bowser for example is the probably the heavy from Mario. But at the same time... maybe all the characters from Mario can parry? Or Fire Emblem? After all, all of them use swords at least. What Pokemon has been in Smash that could be a parry?

Not going to lie... the first team that figures that out is going to have a MASSIVE advantage.

Pokemon is the interesting one... Think smashbros has had pikachu and jugglypuff. I dont see either one as a RB, parrier or teamfinder. At least wigglytuff could be seen as a heavy with HP, but not damage per say.

I don't know. He might have. I know my Rolecard at least doesn't tell me a whole lot of anything in that regard though...

They've had a lot more than just those two. Pichu, Pokemon Trainer (Charizard, Ivysaur and Squirtle), Mewtwo, Lucario and Greninja.

Also, Pikachu has an obvious angle for role blocking: he's a an electric type pokemon that can learn thunder wave to paralyze his enemies. You don't have to go literally based off of the Smash Bros movesets and abilities, and given that every team has a RB, recruiter, heavy and parrier you really can't. Also, seriously? You can't think of how a pokemon whose entire identity is based around putting people (or pokemon) to sleep could be a role blocker?

My guess for a pokemon based team would be Pokemon trainer as the recruiter (because he's a trainer that catches pokemon, duh), Jigglypuff or Pikachu as a role blocker for stated reasons, Greninja as a parrier (Greninja is agile, so his parry could maybe be dodging? Not technically a parry, but it could work for the mechanics of the game) and Mewtwo as the heavy because he's such a strong pokemon (though, honestly, he could probably fill any of those roles because he's quite versatile with his moveset).

In other news, I did not get Ice Climbers and that makes me sad.

Pokemon Trainer himself is a much better choice for recruiter, for what I think are obvious reasons. He throws pokeballs (masterballs?) at pokemon, adding them to his team.

Yeah just saw your post and I had forgotten about all of them. It's been a long time since I played any of the Smashes... and I never owned them. Couch multiplayer is best multiplayer.

And if you are making PT as the top end, Mewtwo would be my guess for the heavy as well.

That being said... We don't even know if we are on the right track there because we don't know the actual character to team relation.
