As many have said, the biggest benefit is it will stop third party gold sellers setting up camp.

Bare in mind the WoW token system is an example of supply and demand along with market forces. The price on classic will be significantly lower than it is on live due to the difficulty of making money. 1000gold back in vanilla is probably equivelent to about 400-500k now so guessing that on EU servers classic token would be between 700-800g

Wouldn't even make sense to have a sub fee.

But meh even if you cap it, it'd would still make a market for 3rd party's probably.

Vanilla gold is precious, and your average player isn't going to be willing to give up 1000 gold or probably even 200 for a sub. That's what a lot of people forget: yes gold is more precious in vanilla, but that also means you'll get way less per token because human players will not give it away cheaply. That may be different if you surrender yourself to third party sellers, who will be rewarded in cash rather than tokens and who commonly use bots to farm gold.
As for the whether there would still be a third party market with token caps, I think it's possible and you'd certainly need to account for that but there may be some room to wiggle as well. The token offers a far less risky alternative than some dodgy .info site, which means they would have to offer FAR better rates. At some point that's not going to be worth building an operation for.

So this would mean tokens,so no.
must be nice to live in delusion

3/4 of systems from live will be on vanilla .

i wouldnt be surprised even if lfg would make its way there to make it easier for people to make groups for dungeons

same with new bfa community tools.

the only things that wont be there will be lfd and lfr.

there is a reason they stated officialy that they are working on current version of client - spell effect tables are just excuse and very poor one.

The reason they are reworking the spell effects tables and all of that jazz is because in the future if they want to do a TBC or WOTLK progression servers the amount of work required will be a lot smaller since they already have the old architecture available.
