From a glance I only found message boards on 'knowyourmeme' discussing the incident, not detailing it being a meme itself.

I mean, obviously it seems like something they would want to take it down when proof of it came out as being a real thing and was in the middle of an actual investigation.

But yea, you're still wrong. Deepweb memes are still memes regardless of your personal definition. Much like the grifter, much like 3 guys 1 hammer, much like countless other videos/images. If you're going to get caught up over semantics, try not to have it be over a word that covers such a wide scope. Like you're doing right now. It's very easy to call people wrong when they do what you're doing right now.

everyone blames him, but I would rather track down every fudger that bought the video and allowes such a market and put them down.
if no buyers then no market and hence no profit in doing what he did, he did it for the money most likely.

I'm okay with this...but Scully and his accomplices, including that Margallo creature, should be shot. This fucker was arrested and still running his shit operation from prison.

This. I hope the FBI is able to track down anyone who bought the video. The price was $10,000 btw...

Also wanted to add, Scully almost got away with his crimes when the evidence room magically caught fire. I'm thinking he'll be protected in prison for the right price.

Have you convinced yourself you're somehow coming off as the smarter party in this thread? Just stop dude I'm embarrassed for you and I don't even know your posting history.

Alrighty then I guess a meme isn't a video/image/text/story that gets popular and spreads rapidly on the internet. Apparently that's not the definition anymore. I thought it was a good way to describe them, but I guess times are changing and something can't be a viral story if the content upsets a person?

Look at this child logic these kids use. This is seriously what I have to deal with. I just don't understand. Do you enjoy responding to me just to be wrong?

You should see some of the other things out there. The Mexican cartels don't seem to mind hurting children and recording it.
Sure sounds like you just like watching child rape, have fun being a sick fuck.

Seeing clips to find out if an urban legend is real and finding out it was nowhere near as bad as the rumors involving hammers, chisels, disemboweling, and human pillow fights actually gave me some peace of mind.

If I enjoyed watching child rape, why have I only searched for the one I didn't expect to actually find?

Your awful logic falls flat immediately and it's sad.

Pedophiles get killed in prison, and I imagine a lot of inmates will be out for blood if they know what he's done. Unless he's put in solitary confinement he's dead.

I get trying to hold a certain moral high ground, but this guy is a pedophile who literally had kids tortured to death. There's a certain a point where pity becomes misplaced (and misguided), and we're way past that.

i'm not trying to hold a moral high ground.

i'd just rather shield people from hell IF it exists. we can't really know that it doesn't, so i'd rather not risk sending someone to it.

At this point I assume you're just trolling but i'll entertain the idea that you're serious because I have to kill some time before sitting in traffic.

It can be a viral story anything an individual of this nature likely would be, however because the story is viral does not inherently make it a meme.
The video itself is child pornography which is clearly not a meme, however something can be meme'd (basically everything is at that point).

    meme
    miːm
    noun

    1.
an element of a culture or system of behaviour passed from one individual to another by imitation or other non-genetic means.
    2.
an image, video, piece of text, etc., typically humorous in nature, that is copied and spread rapidly by Internet users, often with slight variations.

A meme acts as a unit for carrying cultural ideas, symbols, or practices, that can be transmitted from one mind to another through writing, speech, gestures, rituals, or other imitable phenomena with a mimicked theme.

So still, I fail to comprehend how you can think think a video portraying sexual acts with an 18 month old girl by a 50year old man constitutes as a 'meme video'.

Look at this child logic this kid uses. This is seriously what I have to deal with. I just don't understand. Do they enjoy responding to me just to be wrong?

Unrelated, but I really wish the ignore feature on this website went the extra mile and completely removed ignored users from view; even in other posters' replies. Even reddit has that built in.

Even if hell existed, the decision to send him there wouldn't be yours to make anyway. And if (big 'if') there's a hell like the Bible describes Peter Scully will have a front-row seat to it when he dies.

I'm not trolling. I'm correct. Is 3 men 1 hammer not a meme now? http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/3-guys-1-hammer

It literally fits all the same criteria, falls into the 2nd category of the meme definition you copy pasted, but you seem to be intentionally avoiding explaining why it's not a meme.

In fact, you literally haven't done shit in proving that it isn't a meme besides saying that it's not. How about you explain how it's not? Can you use your words like an adult? Why is 1 a meme, but the other isn't?

This should only take you like 5 minutes tops IF THAT to explain.

Here's where the story originated by the way. More memes.
    http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/creepypasta

Editing this in because it's been a while, yet you weren't able to answer any of my simple questions and I can't sit around waiting for another ham fisted reply from you. Will it be about how creepypastas aren't real memes? Will it be about how you invented the first meme and get to change the definition to whatever you see fit?

Actually, I'm just going to go ahead and summarize your next post, since I also have to get out of here. Whatever you ended up responding with would probably end up translating to:

DD is not a meme because I don't want it to be. It was discovered as a creepypasta (meme) and was shared as frequently reposted shock material (meme), but those reasons aren't good enough, for reasons that I cannot explain. Honestly, I tried to start a semtantics war, but am so unfamiliar with extremely common internet/real world slang that I ended up saying something very stupid. Now, I'm so desperate for the smallest win I can get that I'm actually going to argue whether or not a known meme is a meme. I said something stupid regarding memes and now I'm backed into a corner to the point where the evidence I'm posting is reinforcing my opponents point. In the end, at least I (hopefully) learned to avoid doing stupid things like this in the future.

we would by proxy be sending him to it, because obviously someone like him would go there upon death. killing him = sending him there.

i mean, if i had my way, he would ultimately die due to being experimented upon. but it wouldn't be the death penalty, his death would fuel the search to fix people like him so that no more would have to die.

    Wait wait wait...

So you looked it up EXPECTING to watch something that would be worse than what turned out to be the actual rape, torture, and murder of children? And now you're here nonchalantly talking about your depraved curiosity because you think it's a discussion about memes? Seems like this whole discussion has gone way over your head. Whether it was an urban legend at one time or not, it still takes a fucked up person to go actively searching for that kind of stuff just to check it out.

I looked it up not expecting to find it. Learn to read.

I EXPECTED the rumors to be fake.

If a bunch of people started talking about some urban legend video hidden on the internet that showed Air-Bud having a dog fight with Lassie, I would try to find that as well, while a herd of brainless kids waddled along stupidly behind me, shouting at me because apparently now I'm promoting dog fighting and that I'm just as guilty as the dog fighters themselves, all because I went looking for an urban legend to see if it was real.

The discussion on memes is simply me correcting someone for being wrong.
