Well you can't experience it directly so there will always be people that question it - questioning "history" is important imo, but holocaust deniers do that with a strong confirmation bias to what they already believe. I'm suprised more just don't blame the Russians for doing it and blaming the Germans - that seems more believable considering their government at the time.

It doesn't help that some of the original "evidence" that was public early on wasn't real - Some of the photos we see regularly aren't from the camps, and some were even doctored. That's because at the time they were more used as illustrative of the horrific events and they didn't think in 70 years time people would be using them to try and disprove something actually happened. There's plenty of ACTUAL evidence and information that it happened for anyone who actually wants to find it.
