Remember that "incredible" deal Trump was able to negotiate that involved Russia being able to interrogate American citizens? The White House is now saying they disagree with it and are no longer in favor of it.

So what happened to our dealmaking President? I thought he was this incredible dealmaker who would get us deals so amazing our heads would spin. How can you have a summit with Putin and not get any deals?

Vladimir Putin told Russian diplomats that he made a proposal to Donald Trump at their summit this week to hold a referendum to help resolve the conflict in eastern Ukraine, but agreed not to disclose the plan publicly so the U.S. president could consider it, according to two people who attended Putin’s closed-door speech on Thursday.

Details of what the two leaders discussed in their summit in Helsinki, Finland, remain scarce, with much of the description so far coming from Russia. While Putin portrayed the Ukraine offer as a sign he’s seeking to bring the four-year-old crisis to an end, a referendum is likely to be a hard sell with Ukraine and its backers in Europe, who remain committed to an 2015 European-brokered truce deal for the Donbas region, parts of which are controlled by Russian-backed separatists.

White House officials didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. If Putin’s account of Trump’s reaction is accurate, it would suggest a more flexible approach than the U.S. has shown to date on the issue. At the Helsinki meeting, Trump also agreed to consider a Putin request to question the former U.S. ambassador to Moscow over U.S. campaign-finance violations that critics say Trump should have dismissed outright.
And apparently, there's the Crimea mention. It shouldn't even be considered. This president continues to sell out to Russia at every turn.

Look, "2015 European-brokered truce deal for the Donbass region", "Minsk II", is actually not being implemented by Ukraine because it is fully "Russian plan". It had everything Russia wanted for Lugansk/Donbass.

Saying that "Minsk II is the only way" is parroting Putin.

Yeah sure, just invite the guy who ordered cyberattacks and influence campaigns against a US presidential election to the White House.

Fuck. This. Man. Russia is a hostile, aggressive adversary. Trump already gave up Israeli intelligence to the Russians the last time they were in the White House, I can only imagine what else he'll give up the next time he invites them in to give the US a thorough fucking.

Edit: I continue to find it fascinating that the Trump administration/White House is very much taking a backseat to Russia regarding communications and relations. They're not driving anything. We hear more about conversations, agreements, and proposals between the two countries from Russia than we do from the US, who always seem to either have no comment or only have a late reactive statement.

Well, what do you expect, Trump remembering every detail from a 2-hour long private talk with Putin? Come on, that's asking a bit too much, don't you think? Give that poor man a break, he deserves a little spare time too.

I do not think Russia would bulk at the prospect of expanding it's power and landmass if they could. Ditto for China.
Not sure what this has to do with Theo being one of the people being fooled by this, that you were not sure who Trump was kidding. But, you do you...

Let's watch Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats react in real time to hearing the news that the White House wants to invite Putin this fall.

Why react in real time? Because predictably, nobody in the White House seemed to want to inform literally anyone else in the administration who may not have literally been in the room about this before making the announcement.

Perhaps even better is the cringe when she said she had an announcement from the white house, before he even knew what it was. That is the reaction of somebody who totally trusts their bosses judgement...

I wouldn't be surprised if Trump offers Putin a tour of CIA headquarters, area 52, 53, and 55.

Yes, the fact that this is intentionally done by Putin and Trump. If you think Trump is just falling into this by exident, you are being fooled by him. As in, the word fool means a silly person as a noun and tricking someone as an adjective. As in, Trump is fooling people, by acting a fool.

Even beyond that, thinking that Russia is the empire to stop US agression, should objectively be someone who has been fooled, especially if they reside in the very country being attacked. I linked you a Russian spy saying nearly the same thing.

Edit: If not people who don’t like Trump, but are nearly quoting Russian Spies in joy over his unintentional success in attacking American empire... who was fooled by Trump? The conservatives voting for him? Nope, par for the course. So... not conservatives... not whatevers that agree with Russian spies... who was tricked by all the tomfoolery?

The only way that such a deal could exist, is if Trump removes the sanctions applies for invading the sovereign country of Ukraine in the first place.

Meaning, despite Trump saying Putin would not go into Ukraine -- then immediately being contradicted, because he was already there, and saying Putin would not go into Ukraine if Trump was in charge -- wanna see the video? -- Trump is now considering making it retroactively legal, letting them keep some/all of the land they took with troops out of uniform, and removing the legal penalties for their actions.

Holy shit what a cuck. So much for republicans being strong leader the amount of knee bending this administration has done is fucking /face palm worthy. Everything Obama was hyped up to be by the right came true this election. I'm just waiting for the financial crisis.

Remember how Obama was accused of going on an apology tour? Whoever becomes President after Trump will need to go on an actual apology tour to almost every nation on the planet, aside from Russia, North Korea, and a few others.

Ido not think Trump knows the meaning of this word.

    I know those reasons.
What I do not know is why you assume the concept of "allies" is anything Trump understands.
He won't "see how many allies he has left", because he would never see an ally under any circumstances. He does not know what allies are.

And Trumpkin cultists are still baffled why people state the fact that Trump is owned by Putin/Russia?
