For a lot of specs that doesn't really help. There are certain synergies or passive abilities that are crucial in a spec's playstyle and you don't get those until much later in the leveling experience, making a certain amount of levels completely pointless in terms of teaching you how to play the class.

If you play a class that has a long setup time or a somewhat complex rotation, you're not going to learn any of that killing quest mobs because they won't live long enough. Your openers, cooldown management, DoT management, resource management, execute-range rotation, etc., you won't learn any of that killing 32 wolves and 20 bandits in a row. The fights are not at a consistent enough pace to get the hang of a max level rotation, especially when you're usually missing several of the key abilities in said rotation. It just slows you down and makes it more likely you won't enjoy the experience.

In regards to the level boosts. It's a free to play game. You gotta show some understanding for it. They have to make the money somehow.

It takes a full team months to make a 3 minute clip - it would take them YEARS to make a full film.

That is categorically false. For years there had been tons of people complaining that leveling had been trivialized and that it lost all meaning and challenge as you could just oneshot mobs and roll through zones and dungeons.

There were also tons of complaints about people outleveling zones well before finishing the questlines and being forced to move on to the next zone if they wanted to keep getting experience.

They changed it because of all that feedback, and you can go back through the various Q&As and panels they did over the course of Legion to see them fielding questions about it almost every time.

One more then I noticed.. You totally should play both the videos at the exact same time. Much much cooler.
OMG....you're right about watching at same time (not about him being a sexy beast). Adds a totally different feel to both cinematics. Thank you for tip.

Lawl. Community complains about levelling being too easy, quick for years and YEARS. Now all of a sudden it's not and people change their tunes to: "oh levelling has been too hard for years!" or "They're just pushing for boosts".

As to the former, make your minds up. Or better yet just get on with levelling.
As to the latter, you need proof of such a claim. More likely it just ties in with the former. People wanted slower levelling. They delivered. It's still way faster than it was in the old days.

LOL yeah no kidding. Ion and his cuck boy crew have totally fucked things up. This current patch is a dumpster fire yet they honestly don't care. And neither do I. BFA can fuck off while I look for something better

Absolutely ridiculous people keep ranting and raving about character boosts and making out that this entire prepatch and every single fucking change and issue that they see is all part of some single giant conspiracy to sell more boosts.

Could it be that people have been complaining for ages and ages that levelling was meaningless and too easy and that dungeons at low levels could be soloed easily by one DPS in heirlooms without a tank or healer and it was stupid and not a fun experience for new players? NAH IT'S JUST TO SELL BOOSTS.

The massive sweeping changes to the way every spell in the game is calculated to make it more scaleable in future has caused big big problems to the whole game experience through levelling and the bugs have made it harder to level? THEY BUGGED THEIR OWN GAME TO SELL BOOSTS OF COURSE!!

Seriously though, if they wanted to sell boosts so fucking badly they're willing to fuck up their own game this badly and draw this much ire from people - they'd have made it so you get the Allied Race armor sets even if you boost. Why would they push people to level a bunch of new characters, only to break the levelling intentionally to sell character boosts when character boosts deliberately don't award the thing they incentivised people to level for?

I know it's cool to be super cynical and anti-corporate but use a little common sense. Blizzard are a business and they do wanna make money but not every single damn thing is an anti-consumer conspiracy by the evil money-grubbing devs.

You know... the fact that you now only need to pay 15 bucks to get access up to legion... a character boost aint as bad as it would have been if you still needed the battle chests. Still expensive as fuck for a lot of people, but it's still less.
