The important bit is to show all those lurkers that follow these discussions that the troll's viewpoint is neither legit, nor normal. A reaction is, however, necessary. Be condescending, troll them back, get angry, mock them... whatever works best for you, but show that you oppose their idiocy and that it will never be mainstream, nor tolerated for them to behave like that.

If you want to win that argument and get them to admit defeat, that's cool, too. In fact, it's kind of the holy grail around here. Your argument isn't sound. Germany may not give holocaust deniers a platform, but that doesn't stop neonazis from spreading their propaganda. These trolls here know the limits very well, they have burned countless accounts to find them. So they stay below the threshold and let you trip over it when you respond to them.
