So I have recently come to a realization after posting on the forums and seeing people discuss the topic but this storyline sounds familiar.
- Leader who is impulsive
- Orders bombings while ignoring generals
- "Allies" are telling that leader to calm down
- Planet ending threat that this particular leader is ignoring and is using as a resource for war
- Old gods whispering in peoples ears to drive them crazy
Apply this to real life now!
- Trump is impulsive
- Makes military moves his generals disagree with
- NATO allies are telling him to calm down and act more civil
- Climate change is a threat but Trump ignores it
- Russian disinformation campaign
Is Blizzard trying to hard to incorporate real life elements into their fantasy MMO? Is that why this storyline feels forced because we are currently living through it!?!?!?

Funny part is I seriously am not trolling and trying to figure out just how much real world politics are getting involved in this game. Azerite alone has clear comparisons to climate change.
