Kamala Harris has confirmed on Jan. 21st on Good Morning America on ABC network that she is running for President of the United States. She is the first female senator of jamacaican, indian and black descent to run for office. She is the second female African American to run a campaign for President . Her announcement comes 47 years after the first, one of her two main heroes, announced her run.











If elected as President of the United States she will be:

• The first female President
• The first female African American President
• The first female Asian American President
• The first Jamaican American President
• The first biracial American President
• The second African American President

Her campaign views:

• Equality.

• Sexual Prosecution.

My reasoning was that there's a new Democrat announcing their candidacy every other day. Theres also Gillibrand, Castro, Warren, and Gabbard.

As an outsider to the US politics I am fascinated that those are the only qualities of a preseidential candidate that someone would mention.

While the people on the far left may handwaive the use of sexual assault allegations as a weapon, the majority of people who vote, won’t. It'll force the eventual nominee even further to the left. Trump's running on immigration, trade and infrastructure. It doesn't get more moderate than that.

Trump is running for his life at this point. There is probably a BOLO in some neighboring countries. I bet they cut off any international trips.

Lol well done. Harris was fantastic during those hearings, her prosecutor skill set was really on display. She would be amazing in debates (not that Trump will ever agree to have one).

Most polls and surveys I come across show Biden dominating favorability among Democrats and Independents. You can't say the same for Clinton. She's never had that kind of appeal. As far as Harris goes, she's not popular whatsoever among independent voters. Her appeal drops the closer you get to the center, which isn't going to fly in a Presidental election. Obama was a charismatic president and was able to pull votes from the center. That's what a candidate needs to win a Presidential election.

To make matters worse, she also doesn't have broad appeal across the Democratic base, because many on the left believe she represents corruption in our justice system. I personally think she's a pile of garbage for going after the poor with her shit school truancy policy. It's the kind of shit you'd expect from a backwoods conservative, not a progressive.

Doesn't infrastructure require a functioning government? I'm sure any Democrat offering to pay people for their work will have a leg up there.

I'm interested to see what happens with Kamala, I don't know if she's a good candidate or not yet, but its worth finding out.
