I'm conceptually fine with Bran but the show didn't do a good job demonstrating his leadership abilities (only a couple of scenes showing him meeting with townsfolk while Robb was away) or showing why his seer abilities would be useful politically (only uses them in regards to fighting the Night King). Hopefully those two skills will be expanded upon in the books, but given the bloat that permeates the novels I'm not hopeful it'll be much better than the show.
