I fear the dentist mainly because of risking to get any form of hepatitis, mainly B or C . A friend's mother died from hep c and they presumed it was from the dentist and another person i know recently found out she has hep B and she only had her teeth fixed some months ago.

The problem is : it takes months for either virus to turn into the disease and in that time you "could have gotten it from anywhere" so some dentists or even doctors could skip a bit on the sterilzation methods because you can't prove it was from them.

I go to the dentist but not as much as i'd like to honestly, because of this fear.

You should go to dentist or assistant every half a year for checkup and cleaning. It's both cheap and keeps your mouth and teeth healthy.

Some people really disregard this too much and then end up paying and suffering many times over. It is also a good idea to do a general medical checkup once a year just for the chance of catching something early when it's easy and fast to deal with.

Dentist - Twice a year for cleaning. My dental hygienist is absolutely beautiful and a pretty cool woman to talk to.
Doctor - Rarely one of my best friends is an ER doctor so I go to him for just about anything. I visit a regular doctor once a year for my bio-metrics.

I have no fear or anything from either.

I do not dread going to a doctor or dentist. And I generally do not very often. The present dentist we do have is great. And my VA doctor is also. However in the past, I have had some bad doctors and dentists. After one bad experience, I will stop going to them.

I rarely go to the doctor or dentist lol. I ought to go more, but I've never had a doctor I particularly liked and I usually just forget to make an appointment.

Personally I hate going to the doctor, but things like getting my vaccines done, or going to the dentist, don't bother me much.
Dentist - every 6 months for preventative care, I don't look forward to it

Doctor - As needed. Last time I was at my doctor they asked if I was going anywhere else because I had not been there in over 2 years, told them nope, I just haven't been sick.

Doctor - once a year for a standard checkup. Aside from a couple of very minor things over the last few years, the doctor has always given me a clean bill of health. It's usually a fairly quick/painless thing. The nurse checks all the standard stuff like weight/blood pressure, the doc comes in and talks to me for a few minutes about how I'm feeling, and if there's nothing unusual, I'm on my way. There is some family history of cancer and heart problems, so we keep a closer eye on things like that as I get older (I'm in my 30's), but overall, I'm pretty healthy at the moment.

If I have a cold or something, I usually prefer to just visit the walk-in clinic since they can see me quicker.

Dentist - I go in for a cleaning/checkup every 4 months. I had to have a pretty insane amount of dental work in my late 20's/early 30's (combination of bad brushing habits and the fact that I drank almost nothing but Coke/Pepsi products for a while in my younger days), but I finally got the worst of it done and am in pretty good shape in that area now.

Also an eye exam once a year. Nothing really major about those. I'm always in and out in less than an hour, and very little has changed with my vision in the last few years.

My health insurance doesn't cover vision/dental, so I pay for those visits out of my own pocket (one eye exam a year doesn't justify my monthly premium going up by as much it would have for adding vision coverage). My dentist is a really good guy, and I don't dread going to see him at all. He's one of those "you shouldn't feel anything here, but raise your hand and stop me if you do and we'll give you some more numbing stuff" types. The only thing I ever dread there is him finding some problem that's going to end up costing me some insane amount of money to get fixed.

Having people like that in your life is both a blessing and a curse, my man is the same and I get no sympathy when I'm sick.

Haha yea. At least it's super easy for me to get prescriptions when I need it.

What scares me is the incompetence.

My father had shortness of breath mowing the lawn so he got a physical. Came back clean bill of health. So we went back home and was doing stuff and still didn't feel right so he decided to get a second opinion. The second guy told him he needed a quintuple bypass surgery immediately. I mean yikes, how do you miss that?
TO FIX WOW:1. smaller server sizes & server-only LFG awarding satchels, so elite players help others. 2. "helper builds" with loom powers - talent trees so elite players cast buffs on low level players XP gain, HP/mana, regen, damage, etc. 3. "helper ilvl" scoring how much you help others. 4. observer games like in SC to watch/chat (like twitch but with MORE DETAILS & inside the wow UI) 5. guild leagues to compete with rival guilds for progression (with observer mode).6. jackpot world mobs.

Considering the great state healthcare system provided for me in Belgium simply through taxes. Every time i am seriously ill as GP visits cost me like 2 euros and they also give references to specialists so a visit there gets paid back almost in full. Tend to only rely on antibiotics and other type of pharmaceuticals only when i really need to.

Dentists less than i should once a year, so the government keeps covering about 80% of my visit and procedure cost there.

I lost one of my tooth recently, so I must visit the dentist to get a dental implant done.

Man... it is so expensive, 2 deep cleaning is already $600, going to get a third one soon, then to get a new implant tooth will cost like $3000.

However they are doing a good job tho.

Dentist however, every couple of years need to visit. I have had a love/hate relationship with the dentist ever since a tooth infection.
Not even for an annual general check up, especially in this age of ever increasing risk of cancer where it is highly recommended to do so past 30?

I was going to the dentist yearly, but after cancelling one time they stopped booking for me automatically and I haven't bother to book an appointment myself for 2 years now.
But I think my dental health is fine so Im not that worried about it right now.

Have been feeling very tired for some years now, and have gone to the doctor to take blood samples, depression and such to find an explanation, but didn't find any.

I don't mind the doctor, but the dentist always seems to find problems that need fixing. It was so much better when I didn't go to the dentist for 3 years.

I'm 54 and have no insurance except dental.
