    Peace out boyo
I don't know the "true" experience? I've been playing and actively raiding since the original beta. The "hard" feeling people describe is only because the game was new. You're never going to replicate that as players have evolved over the years. If you makes things hit harder you're only going to damage the "normies" as you put it and ruin their experience.

This outcome was inevitable and only reinforces the old argument that Vanilla wasn't easier. Which is a different discussion altogether.

Any form of media that brings visibility to a game, product, topic, matters. Just because it doesn't matter to you doesn't mean it isn't important to another demographic of people.

I mean looting bear arses is sure to be riveting gameplay. In the first place, most streams are purely personality driven, what they play has always been second fiddle when it comes to popularity. Streamers just latch onto the popular stuff because it's a bonus and helps with their visibility.

I'm certain the huge spike was also in part because people couldn't play themselves..

Anthem was DOA in Beta. At least have an idea of what you are talking about before saying something dumb again.

Honestly if you claim classic and retail to be the same you are delusional. 15 years of new content and changes pretty much guarantee that. Sure there is overlap. You stil have some of the same stats. Ground mounts stil exist. Most proffesions do etc.

However most of these "quality of life" changes completely changed the game. For some people in a good way, for others in a bad way. Just some of the changes that had large influence on gameplay:

A lot more zones with less people. Leveling is for the largest part nearly a solo game. Flying mounts also add in. No more leveling zone wars like hillsbrad foothills with entire guilds joining their friends.

Looking for raid or limited summoning. You wont see 200 player warzones anymore with 5-6 guilds trying to enter their respective raids in blackrock mountains.

Raid accessibiiity. Back then reaching a boss actually meant something. Hell reaching the next raid tier was something truelly special. Zerging the expansions big bad in a looking for raid pug on patch day completely destroys that immersion.

Larger raids and less loot. Every raid drop made your heart pound. Even reaching full tier one felt more rewarding than getting highest item level gear. Mainly because you needed it to clear the next tier. Meaning your progression and effort was not resetted every patch.

I can go on for days. To me and many others retail could not be any more different. I quit the game because the part of the world you saw was more often whatever city you decided to use as a lobby to queue for stuff.

If you dont see the differences you prob look for different thing s in a game. Which is fine. But for the love of god; dont be an ignore f*ck simply because you like/ focus on different things.

Wrong forum. WoW classic is far more popular than any WoW expansion since likely MoP.

I 100% agree! I'm glad people have the option to play Vanilla after fighting for it for so long. I'm even more glad that it was a smash hit because it will bring more eyes (and hopefully players) to the next retail expansion.

The power of classic compells everything else out there. It simply was a good game

I'm sure things like mages getting free 10% crit definitely made it easier, regardless of experience of the players.

Who said anything about just making things hit harder though?

7.3.5 client means they can backport assets and design onto bosses ezpz.
Content drought is a combination of catchup mechanics and no new content.

It's been 2 weeks, Wow Classic is Still @ the Top.
The data has proved you wrong.

So the facts are now that Wow Classic is the most popular game and will remain so.
Just wait until Phase 2 drops, Classic hype is continuing.

Half the viewers are on asmonbald who would have those viewers even if he was streaming himself watching porn.

Doesn't change the fact that wow classic is still #1.

It has nothing to do with Classic being popular. It has everything to do with people worshipping Asmongold.

Another thing I notice is that auto-chess games declined so hard. LoL auto-chess already dropped below Hearthstone despite looking like it would take over before that.

Whatever helps you sleep at night.

I signed on to retail for fun this weekend and woah.... complete ghost town.
Couldn't get anyone to do anything and the place was just dead.

Signed on to wow classic and WOW, major difference.

Sorry but Classic is absolutely popular and retail is dead.

Retail isn't dead at all. I'm on a roleplaying server and there were STILL plenty of people online. I get that you're trying to trashtalk retail but lying about its status is just gonna make you look like an idiot.

Don't bother with him. I'm not even sure anymore whether thats a troll account made to shill classic, or to make classic fanbase look like morons.

Surely you must have something else in life to live for than classic?
