Ive posted this before, but of the 6 or so people ive added to real id since classic started only 1 is still playing. Everyone else has been off for at least a week now. It seems 60 is just kind of the end point for a lot of people.

how much can each server support because with around 30k people per server with around 40 servers that would give 1.2 million, how much is each layer as it cant be too high as the world is not that large if more than 5k players were logged in at the same time, blizz are only wanting to have 1 layer at most per server.

Ppl don't play all at the same time, on the same days, permanently. Your estimate might be remotly valid to figure out many concurrent players can be supported at a single time, but in no means reflects the total amount of players engaged.

I was already subbed but I am starting to feel the fatigue set in. I will keep playing it for sure because I want to get to 60 on at least 1 character (42 right now) but man. Lot of other games coming out that are fighting for my attention now. I have been having a blast reliving the past though. As pointed out in another thread (maybe earlier in this one) Blizzard doesn’t publish sub numbers. There’s no way for anyone to know how Classic increased sub count. Even if there was, people are blatantly ignoring the fact that some people probably resubbed for .5, the upcoming anniversary event, and the new RAF.

For me it's simple, i would be playing but because the server i'm on is so full, i can't quest without having to fight over every mob ... and that's just not fun. And yeah, there are only 3 EU-EN PvE realms, it's not like i have much of a choice there....so i just level by killing random mobs while rested...i'm 41 now, and i guess imma hit 60 in 2-3 months or so. Really nothing like the experience i had in late Vanilla on a low-pop realm, lol. I used to run into a same-level player once in a blue moon in most zones, now there's people EVERYWHERE thanks to the questing addons, lol, even on the most unpopular zones for questing like Swamp of Sorrows on the Alliance side, haha.
