its just funny how a leak now that is pretty relevant was sort of copy pasted from some guy 7 years ago and the only comment says its a stupid idea lol

Act 3: Battle against a mighty long-time foe
Act 4: Destruction to renew the setting.

    So, the first iteration was:
    Vanilla: Exploration and Wonder.
TBC: Visit exotic worlds and fight alien threats.
WotLK: Battle against a mighty long-time foe
Cata: Destruction to renew the setting.

    And then second iteration:
    MoP: Exploration and Wonder.
WoD: Visit exotic worlds and fight alien threats.
Legion: Battle against a mighty long-time foe
BfA: Destruction to renew the setting.

I don't think this is done on purpose, it's just a natural progression in which the setting is explored, pushed beyond boundaries, old threats are finally confronted and then we have an act to destroy the old and set up the next iteration.

If I'm right, next expansion is back to Exploration and Wonder. Then we will visit another world (which may be an exotic unfamiliar part of Azeroth, a new planet is not necessary), and then we will fight a big threat that has tormented us for a long time (it's probably being setup right now). Then it's destruction to renew everything.
Funnily enough i started suspecting this when i first played WoD actually. All the callbacks to TBC made me think how similar MoP was to Vanilla in a way, new location, faction war and surprise old god at the tail end.

With Legion i found it surprisingly similar ot Wrath as well. We return from a different planet to realize an ancient enemy has returned, so we venture to a location that we knew was tehre, we just didnt have reason to go there until it turned out the only way to stop the invasion was to go to its source. At the end we defeat the ancient enemy and the world can go back to the way it was.

With BfA as well, 2 continents, faction war and old gods. You could even argue that it ends in a similar way to Cata. No new zones, instead we go back to an older one. Dragonblight for Cata and Uldum/Vale for BfA.

Always wondered whether that was just me looking too deep into it, but its good to see someone else has thought the same thing.

We've never had a logo leak before, so I think it's safe to assume we won't be getting it now either.

The same point as not just taking a horizontal shot camera where the logo is straight and you can see all of it: to sell a shitty fake.

Lol trying to block the first part of the name to look legit.

Thanks to @Polybius, we have the compiled list of leaks for WoD, Legion and BfA in the leak above.

Sadly, leaks during the day of Blizzcon aren't truly leaks per se. I mean, at that point you might as well wait for the big announcement.

The border of the logo looks intricate enough to be real. Plus the leak itself is the only one that I've liked the sound of so that's a bonus.

Until we know better, let's call this leak "Proof the Aspects"

You can tell we miss a purple expansion logo!

Also, I hope they make a joke about The Bolvar at Blizzcon. Shame it most likely will stay an insider joke.

    The cycle is like this:

    Act 1: Exploration and Wonder.
Act 2: Visit exotic worlds and fight alien threats.
Act 3: Battle against a mighty long-time foe
Act 4: Destruction to renew the setting.

I agree with this cycle actually, and I believe we're going to get an expansion that is something completely unexpected. IMO, it's going to be an underground expansion where we explore beneath the surface of Azeroth.

No it doesn't, it's super simplistic.

This really helped, you can clearly see that the S and E of the Aspects logo are the completely wrong font.
