She's one of those Prosperity gospelpeople.

For folks who don't know, Prosperity gospel isn't religion. It's a ponzi scheme that turns religion into a mail order money making enterprise.

Prosperity gospel (which is one of the most noxious and toxic memes Western Civilization has produced) is much more and much worse than just a ponzi scheme (and even that isn't really accurate, as there's no real payoff for anyone - that part is just medicine-show hucksterism and fraud (a perfect match for Trump, btw)); it's an excuse for rejecting reason in favor of emotion, it's an excuse for keeping established elites and power/wealth imbalances in place, it's an excuse for brutal social Darwinism and the rejection of any sort of social safety net, it's a mental and social crutch for people who cannot understand or accept the impacts of randomness and probability in life - various flavors of prosperity gospel are vital components of the ideological engine that powers the current 'monster-in-a-people suit' incarnation of what was once the Republican Party.

As for why he's making this move... my own guess would be: 1) Trump (or his handlers - which I think is the more likely answer) thinks he's going to survive impeachment and his own failing health long enough to be the GOP nominee for 2020 (something I doubt, but its possible) and, 2) Trump (or, again, his handlers) are planning on dumping Pence and plan to replace him within someone from Trump's own inner circle who will be a more reliable successor ("reliable" for Trump criminal syndicate purposes, I mean - I have no reason to believe Pence would not be a 'good Republican' (indeed, that is probably the problem with him; he might place his religion and beliefs above Trump and Trump's henchmen - an outcome utterly unacceptable to Trump and his handlers).

One thing that still worries me, the thought of them actually already abusing their influence to directly rig elections on a massive scale, they don't even have to rig the local machines, just the tabulating ones.

THAT is what worries me, they know the will of the people are against them and have been since the beginning and still act like they are in the clear. And have to remember all the stuff that has already happened with electronic voting over the past 19 years.

They can't directly rig an impeachment, but electronic voting doesn't take much.

1) He is white, homophobic, and pro-life
