Anyone else hopeful about Eric Holder/Michael Bloomberg running?

I love Bernie and Warren is cool too. I voted Bernie in his bid against Clinton. Anyone who marched with MLK jr is great.
That said I doubt either could beat trump.
Biden makes a lot of gaffs.
Eric Holder could carry that President Obama legacy and reach across the isle with the Reagan throw backs.
Bloomberg just has so much money that he could buy votes...

At this point anyone but trump .

I'm not sure either of them has the requisite name recognition.

Bloomberg is the guy that all the people in the Beltway that didn't think Trump could ever win think is a good idea. Maybe we shouldn't listen to them this time.

Not if they try a third party candidate run. That will pretty much guarantee Trump's second term.

You alone other than Eric Holder and Bloomberg himself might be the only ones who wanted them to run.

On MMO-C we learn that Anti-Fascism is locking arms with corporations, the State Department and agreeing with the CIA, But opposing the CIA and corporate America, and thinking Jews have a right to buy land and can expect tenants to pay rent THAT is ultra-Fash Nazism. Why the fuck would anyone want them to start running now?

Because Biden is not doing so hot and moderates are freaking out that they might actually have to endure a progressive candidate or presidency.

Bloomberg's run would at least make some sense if he was running third party. But he's trying to enter the democratic primaries when we're already this many debates in. Even Steyer will probably get more votes, and that guy probably won't even be in the race by the time the primaries actually come around.

No I've only seen Republicans hoping they run to either spoil things or be the not racist Republican option.

I'm honestly more amused by the fact that none of these billionaires seem to be able to read the room.

Like, social media and the political discourse is awash with pretty apparent class tension and yet they seem to think the public will side with them whenever they come out of the woodwork and start defending their wealth.

If Bill Gates of all people is now being viewed with suspicion due to his wealth, one would think other billionaires would take the hint.

Kind of like how you can tell if a person's a Fox News conservative pretending to be a democrat by whether they support Tulsi Gabbard.

Bloomberg could buy my vote. I will admit that.

Is that wrong for conservatives to support a Democratic candidate out of the available pool? Seems fine, like if a Democrat supported the least problematic Republican candidate in the 2016 primary I don't think anyone would view it with the kind of suspicion I see here.

Not at all, it makes it easier to identify the Trojan Horses, as said.

You're making it sound like Republicans have to vote Trump because he's running as a Republican and Democrats have to vote Bernie or Warren because they're running as Democrats.

The question here is: Did you vote Hillary or stayed home because Bernie wasn't chosen?

If its the later, you deserve trump.

No. I'm saying people that still identify as Republican in this, the year of our lord twenty nineteen, should be trusted only insofar as their nuisance value.

And their support of Gabbard is telling as to what they think what kind of President she would be. The kind that probably isn't good for any Democratic policies, doubtless.

Name a single republican that doesn't do crazy things.
Trump was just the worst out of that group of 18 but you god dam know that the likes of Bush and Kasich are no moderates.

Bloomberg would turn off African-American voters because of his Stop-And-Frisk policy.

Holder doesn't strike me as a politician. He might not have the temperament to run for political office even if he has the capability to actually be a good leader.

Bloomberg entering the Democrat primary basically guarantees that Warren is the nominee.
