Yes because with the covenants getting weaker due to the anima hogging of the jailor, they would defi itely fight over it, that makes total sense

They wouldn't realize that they're all equally important and just let the natural distribution of anima do it's job after the jailor is dealt with, oh no.

I would call it bullshit becouse of the reason that in Shadowlands anima is everything, and one of the Covenants are actually the military there to protect Shadowlands, so if there was fighting over the anima, wouldnt the military one just steamroll the others and steal all their anima.
