Yes, it's "celebrated" for it's 3D effects. However, just for it's rare CGI, it was nothing special at the time, let alone now. It was not a quantum leap in CGI by any stretch of the imagination. All it did was go all-in on a fad gimmick that, since then, has not only not become the norm, but is quickly falling out of favor like all fad gimmicks eventually do. So whoopti-fucking-do on it's 3D effects.

I don't know why you have trouble comprehending that, kid. But you're flat-out wrong on there "being a time before and after Avatar" as far as CGI goes. There were tons of movies of equal or better CGI before Avatar even entered pre-production.

Was it's 3D a hallmark? Yes. But--again, and do try to keep up this time--that's it.
It's celebrated for its CGI and other technical skills as well adult. Period. Regardless if you want it to be or not adult. You can go on thinking it's not, we're not telling you not to adult.

Dark Fate had everything anyone could want, especially the explanation of moving away from the Connors, which was about damn time. (I mean logically, how much longer to continue that stretch before anyone realizes that "the future isn't set." And that means the future changes)

And yet, (despite the inaccuracies in your claims), there were still numerous movies and television shows prior to Avatar -- going back more than a decade -- of equal if not better quality CGI.

Avatar was not this astounding, amazing, world-changing phenomenon you keep trying to pretend it was. Fuck, it couldn't even make 3D -- it's one shining crown -- popular.

It's just one of a countless slew of CGI movies. There's nothing special about it other than catering to a dying fad.

It's a terrible movie, the only good part in it is Arnie.

Ehm... 3D has entirely to do with costs, not whether its good or not. Almost no 3D movies were filmed with actual 3D cameras cuz its so much more work n costs. Instead to save monies they used regular cameras n added 3D in later in post-production which gives subpar 3D n that particular "3D" isnt popular cuz it looks fake.

Real 3D looks amazing, its not used often..but when it is, it gives a sense of space the fake 3D kind just can't...

It catered to what American audiences want, something pretty to look at. It had no substance to it.
