His special did deserve a 0%. It doesn't mean it's incredibly bad, it just means they were unanimous in saying it was just kind of pretty dull, and it was.

In general, the foreveralones will hate this movie, mostly because it consists of a bunch of women not behaving like suitable waifu characters.

The studs who give 0 to SW films because their handlers told them the producer wore a t-shirt are certainly good critics, they are on your side. They would also fail to see the message beneath ''YMCA'' by the Village People if not told what to think by 4-chan.

I'm far more likely to accept the consensus of 40,000 audience reviews than that of 17 paid critics. Or better yet I can just choose to watch something or not and come to my own consensus.

As for Birds of Prey, that DC style has really only produced one decent movie - Wonder Woman. The rest have been garbage, so I really wouldn't expect this to be any different.

You really have to take "Professional Reviewers" takes with a major pile of salt these days seeming as they weigh most of their reviews on the marketing for the film as well as "exterior commentary" rather than the film's content itself.

i agree. rotten tomatoes has gone tremendously down with quality. dont forget the low rating it gave the joker and the high rating for TLJ

Birds of Prey was fucking awful. For one, it's a Harley Quinn movie which is infuriating because the Birds of Prey get treated like fucking sidekicks. Two, it's a girl power movie with every single male character written to be absolutely shit human beings in every way. If the sexes were reversed, you'd see dozens of articles about it but it's ok if men are made to look like trash. Three, the movie was just bland and predictable overall. Critics are only giving it good reviews because any time a "girl power" movie is given bad reviews, they're accused of being misogynistic.

All in all, ANOTHER failed DCU movie because they're incapable of making a halfway decent live action movie with DC characters.

Wow it's as if you refused to read everything I said. I have no issue with powerful female characters. But this movie was absolute fucking garbage that made the Birds of Prey look like second rate sidekicks to Harley, which is an insult to the characters. Also, making every single male character an absolute shit human being just makes the movie look bad. As I said, if the roles were reversed then there would be articles crying about misogyny EVERYWHERE.

Wasn't the female Ghostbusters lambasted? Catwoman with Halle Berry, a woman AND person of color, got no mercy from critics and moviegoers alike. Elektra was dragged through the mud, and rightfully so. I'll criticize anything regardless of gender, political affiliation or color, and while the whole PC movement is obviously a thing, as with everything, I feel it's often blown out of proportion. Nobody defends horrid pieces of shit. I saw the new Terminator myself, and it wasn't even a bad movie. It wasn't great either, but I'd definitely rank it above Genisys and Rise of the Machines, and while there were feminist undertones ("the new savior of humanity is a woman, not a man"), that's not the reason the movie didn't perform well. It was just meh and more so jut copying a tired old formula while relying just a bit on feminism more than it wanted to breathe fresh life into the franchise with an exciting and innovative new direction.
