Not bad...he should be involved in the new admin for something...is there a position more science/tech based yet? I remember when JFK sent blank checks to NASA once upon a time.

If a Dem wins the white house, Yang will 100% be part of the administration in one part or another.

His campaign was backed by UBI...

Our process continues to be beyond ridiculous. 18months+, and that doesn't include getting your name out ahead of time so your announcement isn't responded with "who?".

If a Dem wins the white house, they are going to have to add a new Department - Staffing, to the Cabinet. All those open positions....

I dunno, but it's damn impressive for someone nobody knew with no political background. Folks know what they're getting into when they run, especially if they hire staff (as I believe Yang did) who have worked on these campaigns and can tell them exactly what they're in store for. Big ambitions come with a price, always does.

I'm glad to see Warren still has some fight in her.

The NH Primary is kind of a done deal before it even began. Remind which candidate is from there...? No wonder Biden left early.

It says something when the top google result for "Michael Bennett" is a football player.

It's honestly telling about the sad state of the country that she's being beaten by Pete and Klobuchar. Apparently Americans would prefer a nobody with no ostensible principles just because they happen to be noncontroversial. Sounds about white, I guess.

Swear to Christ if the Midwest gives us a losing candidate I'm done with flyover country. It goes in the "DNI" category with the South in terms of nuisances to be dealt with rather than projects to be worked on.

I mean that's still my biggest issue with Pete and Amy, like, nothing stands out in my mind as to "What does this person represent?" Unlike Biden, Booker, Sanders, Warren, Yang, hell even Bloomberg! And they certainly don't get me excited for voting.

Pete and Amy represent the status quo where billionaires are okay with them because they don't want to rock the boat whatsoever. Biden too but he seems to be torpedoing so I don't pay him much attention anymore.

We all saw how well that went with Hillary Clinton. And at this point I'm convinced if we put another boring ass candidate against a crazy psychopath that the same thing will happen once again. We don't need a crazy psychopath of our own but we need someone who wants to actually push some kind of agenda rather than just keep bleating out, "We need to go back to the days of Obama." Fuck that those times are gone.

Obama was a decent enough President but Republicans are never going to go back to even THOSE days where they were obstinate and almost never helped vote anything through. They're even more radical and even if somebody can't get through 100% of their agenda, I'd rather they actually fucking try instead of just shit all over any idea that might actually help people and keep saying we need to go back to some mythical past.

Sanders isn't my candidate of choice this election but fuck at least he wants to try to do something beyond what we've always been doing. And I'd much rather have him than boring empty suit white man who is just diverse enough by being gay that billionaires can fill him up with their money to continue to push the same old same old.

Damn, Yang's out and Biden and Warren look like they're getting destroyed.

I'm surprised Klobuchar and Buttiegeg are doing so well to be honest. They barely have an ounce of personality between them.
BASIC CAMPFIRE for WARCHIEF UK Prime Minister!

God, if Warren weren't there, Sanders would have an even bigger lead....
Since we can't call out Trolls and Bad Faith posters and the Ignore function doesn't actually ignore it. Add

to your ublock or adblock filter to actually ignore ignored posters. Now just need a way to ignore responses to them as well.

Citation needed. Warren wasn't there in 2016.

Who are we kidding. If Warren wasn't there and his performance was still as anemic you'd find someone else to blame.

They poach votes from each other. And Sanders got 1st in votes in the last one and is 1st here. That isn't what I would call anemic....

You assume there is automatically a large intersection between the two bases and that Warren's supporters won't just gravitate to Klobuchar or sit out entirely.

And yes, it's anemic when your primary contender is a straight-coded Disney villain who nobody had heard of two years ago when you have near universal name and policy recognition, lol.

It means there is literally no excuse aside from people not liking you.

They are the two most left leaning on the list and her flip flopping is already what put her down as far as she is. So safe to say, it is still her poaching for those who don't typically pay attention.

While some of her voters would go to others, the lions share would likely go to Sanders.

And the "boring candidate" always comes along with the idea that we need to lean right in order to pick up Republicans.

Look you can't out-Republican a Republican. Not now anyway. Maybe 20-30 years ago when their policies were basically "neoliberalism, and we don't like gays". But now it's just crazy, and you can't out-Trump Trump, and you don't want to anyway.

If we run a candidate who has real fire and passion, those people who are wavering will come to us. We won't need to go to them. And then we don't have to give two shits about what they want because they voted for our guy because they finally realized how fucking terrified of their guy they were.

I agree with the Hillary comparison. Nominating Buttigieg, Klobuchar, etc... would like repeating 2016. I think Trump would still lose because he's gone out of his way to be a terrible president, but the final vote count would be a lot closer than with Sanders.
