The 2016 was the perfect storm of shit, can't put it all on Comey, all though he did screw the pooch at the end.

You also had to down to the DNC backing her regardless of how horrible she was seen, you have her actions with Sanders and just how smug and entitled she acted like she didn't need their votes up until near the end, have the email leaks, have her refusal to campaign in many places thinking she was owed their votes, had them ignoring the fact that Trump was actually talking about problems and they weren't really doing the same in many of them.

Comey was the straw that broke the camels back, but he wasn't the only straw there by any measure.

Edit: The DNC knew what was up with all the Benghazi crap. They should have just let it all play out, and then have her run in the primary only to resign part of the way through having the Republicans blowing all that time and money for someone to just take all the heat till then and bow out.

i mean, it's like he said in his quitting speech. his campaign actually got people seriously talking about UBI and the actual coming NEED for it to happen.

i'd say he was much more of a substantial impact on our society than carson has been since anyone even learned of his existence in 2016. except in brain surgery i guess, he did good with that. so he should have a substantial roll in anyone's cabinet, should a democrat actually win.

i said before that i thought homophobia might drive the black vote away from pete, but i've reconsidered since then.

it won't be an issue with whites, and blacks are only like 14% of the population. of that population, i doubt a high percentage votes, and of that low percentage i'd say an even smaller amount are homophobic. if a large percent of that 14% votes though, then it could indeed be a problem.

i'm not sure on hispanics. every one i was in school with was very homophobic, and our neighbor is devout catholic, doesn't even curse.

The problem with Bernie is his whole 'socialist' label. A lot of Baby Boomers are stuck in a Cold Warrior mindset and are opposed to 'teh ebil of socialism!' without actually really knowing what socialism is.

The attack ads against Bernie would just be him standing in front of a hammer and sickle with a Soviet-era anthem playing.

Baby boomers aren't really where a Bernie candidacy is going to be setting its sights. His voting bloc will be in the under 40s, the millenials (who are approaching 40 quickly) and the Gen Zers. Gen X will be huge in determining if he can win the General, with the Boomers before them going to the Republican in almost every scenario.

NEW: In a new flyer, @Culinary226 warns members that @BernieSanders would "end" their much-loved union health care. The union has not announced whether it will endorse, but the flyer appears to be part of a coordinated campaign ahead of the caucus.

Culinary Union has alot of power in Nevada and they're immediately going after Bernie. The question is, can they actually decide on a moderate? It'll be really interesting on how much we hear from Harry Reid in the next 10 days since he really directs traffic for the party in Nevada
