They care about a meaningful challenge, no not Mythic raiding jump&run like extreme difficulty. But a little challenge.
Mechanics are simple yeah, but if they hurt enough and if the boss lives long enough, it'll be harder. As it should be.
This is the truth - with dramatically increased HP, this might have taken 51 minutes instead of 41 - nothing else would have changed. TBH, one thing the players could do is only count 25 player raids as real progression.
Have the 40man race be LFR (which it is really), and then have a 25man ladder where it actually counts.

No changes stupid, if you don't like faceroll raids in vanilla in terms of difficulty. Then you can go right back to retail for Mythic, there is the challenge for you. Stop letting you're ''Raids has to last more than 1 hour for it to be considered spirit of Vanilla.'' mentality change what raid clearing in Classic has become in the present day. Times have changed since Vanilla OG raiding, get with them or go back to Retail where you can have hard difficulty (mythic) raiding.
