Have you posted anything related to reality in the last five years? Get help.

I mean, it’s no worse that trump slobbering over Kim jong il and Putin.

You’re deranged or trolling. Seriously, seek help.

"Now"? It got brought up because of things Sanders talked about in the 1980s. This has always been known, and isn't news to anyone who have a shit about anything.

It isn't even the first time this got dredged back up; it was brought up in the 2016 primaries, too; https://www.politico.com/blogs/2016-...inistas-220550

You have to be a special kind of willfully ignorant to be surprised by any of this. "Sanders remains ideologically consistent with his decades-long career positions" is not the gotcha you seem to think it is.

    Yeah, no, sadly.

You act like people haven't been voting for centrist candidates on the left. They have. I got us to Trump.

    B. Clinton was centrist.
    Al Gore was centrist.
    Kerry was centrist.
    Obama was centrist.
    Hillary was centrist.

The Democrats have to be forced to change. Capitulating to every centrist candidate hey trot out has lead to the right going further and further and right to differentiate themselves from Dems. There is no way to force them to come back closer to center then to pull them that way.

    That's just stupid.

That is way more tame then the things Trump has said about Putin and Kim Jong.

I doubt anyone whose vote is up for grabs is going to care. The Cuban Missile Crisis was well before I was even born and I'm not about to say "Gee, I guess i don't want a decent Health Service because Bernie wasn't down to incinerate the Island of Cuba for not being a good US Vassal state."

Except most of the people who would vote for Trump don't give a shit about what he says.

While most of the people Sanders needs to vote for him do give a shit about what he says.

If you want to point out the hypocrisy there are better ways.
This is the way of the mmo champion politics forum, Trump must be in every thread because Trumpsters can't post without bringing him up.

On the topic of Sanders being the nomination, how about what he told Cooper about his plans and avoiding saying how much he is going to have to tax EVERYONE to pay for it.

    https://twitter.com/NathanBrandWA/st...rc=twsrc%5Etfw
“How much will that cost?” Cooper asked.

“Obviously, those are expensive propositions, but we have done our best on issue after issue – in paying for them,”

“Do you know how all – how much though?” Cooper asked. “I mean, do you have a price tag for all of this?”

“We do. I mean, you know, and, and, the price tag is – it will be substantially less than letting the current system go,” Sanders responded. “I think it’s about $30 trillion.”

“That’s just for Medicare for All, you’re talking about?” “Do you have a price tag for all of these things?”

“No, I don’t,” Sanders responded. “We try to – no, you mentioned making public colleges and universities tuition free and cancelling all student debt, that’s correct. That’s what I want to do. We pay for that through a modest tax on Wall Street speculation.”

“But you say you don’t know what the total price is, but you know how it’s gonna be paid for. How do you know it’s gonna be paid for if you don’t know how much the price is?”

“Well, I can’t, you know, I can’t rattle off to you every nickel and every dime, But we have accounted for, you – you talked about Medicare for All. We have options out there that will pay for it.”
    This is absurd.

Trump praises dictators of countries with a lower average healthy lifespan than the US
Sanders praises ones that have a higher healthy average lifespan.

2016 Bernie: Obama and Hillary are horrible neo-liberal monsters that compromised on the ACA. It's black and white.

2020 Bernie: Stalin, Castro, Ortega ... are very complicated and nuanced leaders. Oh and mixed praise for George Wallace, great populist messaging!

Yeah, Cuba would clearly have been better of by an US-backed dictator that had no problems with slavery. Obama and Clinton have caused far, far, more mayhem than Castro, its not even close. Even Bapista was far more extreme.

Man, its going to be great when you're forced to support Sanders in the general election.

Has 2020 Bernie disavowed his earlier remarks? 40 years of consistency doesn't really allow for self-critique.

Also, his praise for George Wallace was like 2019?

Bernie, an example of heightening the contradiction to own the libs... postures himseelf on a cliff's edge.

Who are the people who need to vote for Sanders? Independents? Non-voters? He has pretty decent support among both crowds. In fact, I'm convinced he'll get a lot of non-voters to actually go vote in 2020 if he gets the nomination.

Doesn't matter if he disavowed them. They aren't statements from 2020 like you are trying to make it out to be.

I wish he was more direct in his praise of Castro, tbh.
