And yeah I guess so, I mean I can log into a 3.3.5 private server and enjoy nearly every class.

Unless you have it at rank 3 on any given character, then it just requires 500 echoes of nyalotha, which you easily get in a day just by playing the game.

Yes you can't get them for free for your alts, but its significantly easier to get them on your alts than it was before where you had to actually put in a lot of effort to get your essences.

Why lie - you can get 2 a week for minimal effort, without doing any group content. If you started the day before reset day you could theoretically have your 4 best essences in 2 days.

But let's be generous and assume it takes you a week - that's still hardly a grind compared to what it was.

Sure, I got almost 2k essences on my main on which I've had a +19 done and I've ran 4 5 masked runs this week on top of echoes from a few +15 keys from end-of-dungeon chest. You're never going to see those numbers on an alt that you're levelling up right now unless you're paying for boosts to get those numbers. You're not running any masked runs in the next few weeks until you get your memento rearch going. You are also not doing anything close to a +15 for that nice number of echoes from your weekly chest either, unless you ofc buy a boost or get carried by guildies. You're also not going to win any sensible amount of Arenas with trash gear around 440 ilvl and no corruptions.

They could have added bonuses to rep and other aspects, but they chose leveling specifically.

That being said, how does more alts help Blizzard? More alts means more people to logon and jack up those MAU's. Because once you hit 120, you still have various grinds ahead of you and you're likely committed to that alt for the next month or so. They could have added bonuses to rep and other aspects, but they chose leveling specifically.

They could have, but then again they didn't have to do jack shit either. I myself have around 14 alts at 120 but I'm not complaining, there's still some heritage armours I haven't acquired yet so it still has use to me.

I think the only thing stopping me from unlocking heritage armor is the fact that you can only use it on characters of that specific race. I could level another class as a void elf, but then I'd be stuck with 2 of the same class and only one of them being able to use the heritage armor. They should change heritage armor so that any of your characters can use it regardless of their race.

save your crappy retail experience boost. it takes a day to level from 110-120 as is now.

First off no one was complaining. I just had some sensitive snowflake take exception to me because I wasn't overly grateful for this xp boost. In honesty, this xp boost only supports those who have intentions of leveling alts, but what about those that don't? How does the leveling boost help you? So that you can level a new allied race to max level and only use that heritage armor on that specific alt? I could do the same thing too, but then I now have 2 of a certain class and if I want to utilize the heritage armor, I feel compelled to gear up another class that I already have geared.

Again I don't care either way. I just made a statement and someone too offense to it.

Yes, this is the exact reason. It has absolutely nothing to do with the current pandemic going on and people being in their homes a lot more and looking for things to do. Nope, the only reason is because subs are low.
