Ironically I was about to say that the best part of the XFL is the fact that we haven't rolled into a day after where everybody is talking about a botched call by the refs. Well the Dragons Roughnecks game ended on a botched call.

Not only do they apologize, but also quickly announce the supervising official of that game has been "reassigned". Props to the XFL. Neither of those would of been done in the NFL.

Sadly the XFL season is over as well, not really a surprise with all other leagues cancelling games. They will be back in 2021 at least.

Theres some uncertainty in the statement to me at least. Not sure if they are doing this to limit their spending during offseason + crisis or if they are gearing up to close operations permanently.

edit, sounds like its perma kill. No plans to operate in 2021.

I had hoped for one of the two American Football leagues to hang around.
