Thread: Temporal warp

    Temporal warp

So based on datamining we might be getting this “legendary” in shadowlands

Temporal Warp - While you have Temporal Displacement or other similar effects, you may use Time Warp at a reduced effectiveness, granting 15% Haste for 20 sec.

Do you think it works also with spellstealing a bloodlust, while having a temporal displacement debuff? Sounds good tho

Gutted Shard of Exodar. Seems underwhelming.

It sounds cool, but it’s going to be pretty much useless for PvE. It’s once per fight since Time Warp has a 5 minute cooldown and that assumes Time Warp/Hero is cast at the start of the fight and if you’re the designated Heroism caster then you may not even be able to get a second cast of Time Warp anyway.

If someone else starts with hero, you can actually use it twice in a ~6 minute fight. Right after the initial hero is gone and 2nd after your own cd is gone. This probably could have some good synergies, depending on bossmechanics - and ofc depends on the other legendary traits.

I pretty much do mostly pvp, so im excited, apart from often use of those spells in bg, you can also combine it with spell cd reset- power up fe in deepwind gorge.

Shard of Exodar was already annoying in Legion, guess they are picking the annoying and boring stuff instead of actual good abilities.

Sure, but it's still a mini lust. Shard was BiS for this reason, and this has the same value as Troll Berzerking, so you can line those up outside of Lust to basically double up. It will be good, but probably only for raids, unless you plan on running with a Hunter, Shaman, or other Mage in every M+ group.

The effect needs to die already. It's not fun to optimize, and this version is even worse than the Legion version. At least in Legion I could bring drums for myself, this one only triggers off TW itself, and drums are massively nerfed so drums -> TW is out of the question.

That said, at current tuning it's dead in the water next to Disciplinary Command, so whatever.

After looking at all the effects, the general ones all seem somewhat shit. Disciplinary Commnand requries us to use either Counter Spell, Spell Steal, Polymorph, or Arcane Explosion as Frost or Fire to gain the effect right? Do all specs have access to Fireblast? Since I can't think how Arcane and Frost would proc it otherwise. The spec specific ones look much stronger and interesting.

All mages specs will have access to Frostbolt, Fireblast and Arcane Explosion in Shadowlands.

Counterspell being off GCD and casters rarely required to interrupt, Fire Blast is the only real investment in the trigger. 20s uptime 30s CD 10% crit damage on one piece of BiS legendary gear is better than 2pT20 (10s/60s CD, 20% crit damage) in Uldir, which we were using and had planned to use through the next raid before they nerfed it. It's disgustingly strong.

The Frost ones at least are weak looking. Fragments is pure AoE by wording, Slick Ice is garbage because it drops Frostbolt sub-GCD in 6 stacks, and the other two are functionally more Orb with different methods of getting there. Compared to a 66% uptime crit damage buff that costs one GCD, they're nothing.

Isn't it 33% uptime? 20 seconds every 60 seconds, right? Doesn't that come out to a 3.3% flat crit damage buff that requires using Fireblast and Counterspell off cooldown? Granted, after going through the Frost ones one more time, they're all "meh" at best unless they want to shove Frost into being an AoE only spec.

20s every 30s. Also, an off-GCD activation through CS, so you can chain GS>Flurry>CS.
