Since the launch of WoW Classic, we’ve taken action daily against accounts that were botting, hacking, and selling in-game services for real money. This continual effort has resulted in the average daily number of accounts actioned consistently increasing in the Americas, EU, Korea, and Taiwan. In May of this year, we witnessed a surge in the number of botters, and our intensification of efforts to eliminate them brought our average of actioned accounts upwards into the thousands per day.
Since our last post about this issue on June 17, we’ve continued to remove exploiters at a high pace, typically 2,000-3,000 per day, with over 4,000 accounts actioned on some days. This daily effort has resulted in actions taken against over 40,000 accounts since June 17 in the Americas, EU, Korea, and Taiwan.
We’re dedicated to driving the the exploiters away wherever we can, as we continue to make our response to this one of our highest priorities. This is a long-term effort that becomes continuously more difficult, as exploits and those who use them are driven by real money profit motives. We take action constantly, 24/7, to enforce the Blizzard End-User License Agreement. Any account that violates or assists others in violating license limitations on hacking, cheating, and other unauthorized use of the game is subject to suspension and removal.
As always, we greatly appreciate your reports. Player reports have been and will remain highly valuable to us, as we must evolve our detection and response methods to stay ahead of the organizations who would otherwise degrade the game for legitimate players.

what? why are you bitter and sad? there was a big perception of bots just bringing blizzard money and blizz not caring about it. they're trying to change that perception and let their community know they're continously working on it.

Sounds like they went after the gold farmers again. Gold farmers farm on compromised accounts so don't worry you will still see the same number of people in SW/Org.
If you think you can undercut Blizzard to sell gold think again suckers!

The sentiment of it being about the journey is still true, but for those leveling alts doing the journey for the second, third+ times...is very tedious. Originally Posted by Nnyco
Unlike retail, where you can get to make level in a couple days of casual play, it takes weeks in Classic, if not longer. I still think it's stupid to pay real money for it, but I do empathize with people wanting it to be faster.

Believe or not but i am currently leveling my 3rd char on Classic and still got same fun as i had 15 years ago during original Vanilla and 5 years ago on private servers. Leveled up only by myself or with friends/random people doing elite quests/dungeons. Originally Posted by Nnyco

Up to 90 there is a good gameplay flow. Then you get into those system heavy expacs, where you do lengthy introductions to systems that aren't mattering anymore and then you get kicked out to the next expansion after mere 1-2 hours. I managed to hit level 103 in gorgrond doing just half of the quests. I noticed that my exp has been cut in half even though i was just 3 levels above 100. Fuck this system, I wish to quest in my preferred area.
At least in SL they let you actually choose an expac and stick with it.
