Casuals have wholly ruined the game.

    1. Levels should be removed, there an outdated concept and don't serve any purpose, just gate content on prior content completion. and use gear level as the power scale.

    2. Class / race combos should be more restrictive.

    3. There are to many elves and sub elves, game could do with less knife ears.

    4. I like pandas the Eastern theme was refreshing.

    5. Old talent trees were better for the game as a whole, the new trees were a symptom of games designers afraid of giving players freedom, being OP because of some weird interaction for a week or two tills its nurfed was not a problem, I fact its some of the most memorable times in wow.

    6. Lfr and lfd were good for the game in the long run.

    7. The cash shop is fine, there's more than enough in game. mouns to farm and pets, don't like it don't pay.

    8. Legion had great content, but the legacy of the class changes for artifacts has been problematic.

    9. Garrisons were kinda cool once they were fixed.

    10. The Mission table wasn't a problem.

    11. There is no such thing as bis and never will be, bis was a result of simple boss mechanics not loot.

    12. Healers should be doing damage.

    13. Holy palas should have always been melee healers.

    14. Specialisations should be removed from the game and instead each class has a bucket of talents to build them selves however they want to, like a great big essence system without the acquisition Ball ache.

    15. Arena never should have been added to the game.

    16. Pvp specific armour was a mistake, it locked players out of even casual pvp, and created more issues when the real issue has always been the rate of getting good gear via pvp has always been to slow and behind the level acquired from pve. Fix that instead if making more problems with pvp every expansion.

    17. And most importantly, russin servers should never have been added to the EU pool, no one likes them and they should be made to play on there own.

    18. Resistances, block, parry and all the lost stats were good and fun to make builds around.
    1. How would you propose they reset secondary stats each expansion to keep them from getting out of control? Besides levels the only thing I can think of is just turn our purples back into greens on day one and make us re-gear up.

    5. Weird. People seem enraged every time Rextroy finds some weird interaction and hold it up on a cross as a sign of "bad game design."

    13. Like fistweavers but with light?

    18. Yeah. They said they wanted reforging to let you customize, but it was just used to min/max. When they announced the removal of hit/exp I thought yay I'll finally be able to reforge as intended, but they took away that too.

Agree with you on all the other points.

The most difficult thing to do is accept that there is nothing wrong with things you don't like and accept that people can like things you don't.

WoW should be a PvP focused game instead of PvE focused.

and yes, I wouldn't care if wow had no music. I play the game COMPLETELY muted
Sounds like a you thing. Hope it gets better, because life is beautiful when you know how to see it as so.

I enjoy the "new" talent trees. Meaningful choices depending on content/encounter vs. cookie cutter build.
Also I liked BFA just fine.

I'm perfectly fine paying for a mount or battle pet that is unique and really tickles my fancy.

Dunno if I'd call that opinion "unpopular", but anyways:

On-topic: Baine is not a bad character.

Bonus unpopular opinion: the bard and necromancer classes would be a great addition to the game's class roster.

No, it wasn't. WoW was popular because of its polish which it had leagues more of than both of those. The only content that matters in WoW is the content that is impossible to casually participate in, thus adding prestige.

There still exists this type of content in the game, but they keep adding participation trophies that remove prestige at every level just to appease casuals. (Not to mention all the utterly wasted time spent on things like pet battles and transmog).

My wish is that instead of trying to turn wow into that type of game, those people just went and played Sims and Animal Crossing since it's clear that's what they actually want to play.

    1. I hate a lot of the sci-fi / technological aesthetics of the game. I want dungeons and dragons. ONLY dungeons and dragons. EVERY time, EVERY xpac, just give me MORE dungeons and more dragons - and no science fiction. So that means BC and Pandaria were instant un-subs for me. No motorcycles, no spaceships, no selfies etc.

    2. Let me use dungeon finder for mythic dungeons.

    3. I hate guilds and hate listening to people talk on discord. I just want to put on a podcast or some trance music and lose myself in the game in the quiet of my own head. I have to sit through mindless meetings at work all day and I don't want to listen to people talk when I get home. I don't mind doing LFR because you don't have to talk or type to people. I don't mind seeing the other players wandering around the world, I like it in fact. But I've been playing mostly solo for 7 years after my guild in Cata fell apart. Have a way to let me acquire the best gear as a solo player without making me join a mythic raiding guild spending 6 hours a night raiding. Make it skill-based I'm fine with that. Just don't make managing and listening to insufferable idiots the pre-requisite to getting the best stuff.

Designing around "Alt Friendlyness" is a really stupid idea. Give me enough to do on my main that I don't even feel the need to roll an alt.

Minmaxing is unnecessary for 99% of the playerbase.

The community has done more harm to the game than Blizzard.

Taruen Paladins don't make any sense.

Gear should not play a role in PvP.

You can complete these dungeons as slowly as you want to... if you want to take 3hrs to do a +10. take your time. NOBODY is forcing you to do it under the time limit.

I have never been interested in the druid lore, or environments of wow. Anytime I have to play in a zone like Valsharah, I don't really enjoy it.

    Talent tress were fucking garbage

BFA was actually a middle tier expansion

The community has done more to kill wow than anything blizzard has/can dream of doing (sadly this isn't limited to the wow community, holy fuck is the LOL and dota community toxic too).

Honestly dont mind/get the fuss about temporary powers, I guess if you are like a DH you might be salty, but as someone who plays mostly mage/warlock or healing monk/priest never had any issues.

oh someone reminded me, Baine is a shallow pile of shit that Carine would have killed without missing a blink. I FULLY expect them to make Anduin/Baine cannon, Baine already has Anduins cock in his mouth.

lfr should be scrapped and replaced with a que-able tutorial raid that shows common mechanics, how to deal with them, and how to use the lfg tool.

    I like Vashj'ir.
    I like the oculus.

Ranged classes do not take skill. PvE or PvP.

Tanks are the biggest primadonnas in the game. I am generally happier was a skilled healer and high dps than "brrrr push button for threat"

Casuals built this game. Casuals supply this game. Casuals fund this game. If every cutting edge player and people who do above M15 unsubbed right now, we would notice virtually no difference other than trade chat being a little more civil and fewer stupid names, and shitting on casuals just makes you seem like an incel.

ERP is the best reason for RP.

Defecting should have been a thing since WoD.

As bad as this game has become, content, story, and fun-wise, the community will kill it long before the gameplay will cause it to die.

The next time I will be happy in this game is when Simpcaller dies in a few hours.

"Funguilds" are arrogant. They imply that everyone else whos not playing casual is automaticly not having as much fun as they are.

Playing furries and or elves is a sin. Everyone is either Vulpera or Bloodelf - or Voidelf on Alliance. I find it to be an awful trend.

I prefer Low Quality sparkly water over the sticky blue goo.

Catering to internet darling streamers and just copy/pasting their opinion in Trade Chat should get you banned for being a simp.

    Female Trolls are hot.

Classic is an awful game. Everything can be cleared by auto attacking at level 58. Dont act like its hard. Dont be a classic Andy.

I don't even think it's casuals anymore. It's Twitter users, who's very first videogames were fucking mobile games.

Only thing they know how to do is insert social politics and cry about accessibility.

Casuals have come to learn that some things aren't going to be obtainable by them and that that's okay. This new generation of mobile gamers however? God forbid they can't get the game to play itself for them.

People who play Blood Elves think they are badasses for playing Horde. But they are not. There is nothing badass about Blood Elves.

99% of the people playing the game are casuals, so they bring in a lot of money.
