It makes no sense there would only be 1 character in the event. It's also very early for banner re-runs. I think they are saving the reveal.

Also there's 1 more thing, if only Xiao used the new ascension material from the new bosses, that would exclude a big portion of the players from a chunk of content, since there would be no reason for them to do the new bosses. But between Xiao and Hu Tao, I'd say there's a good chance most of the players will be rolling for either one.

Every gatcha does character re-runs. What i find funny is that we are getting Keqing banner and whales probaly maxed her. If i dont roll Ganyu C1 i will have something to look for (i have to much swords).

that "exlcusiveness" is just in your head, it was never a thing.
Banners were never meant to be one time things, at least they never said that and all gacha games do this, so it's not even a suprise they rerun characters.
And it takes probably more than half a year before a character is up again.

Reruns were obviously going to happen. They don't affect the feeling of exclusivity (if we assume that's what whales are aiming for) either way, strictly F2P players will be getting C6 after years of saving primos for their favourite characters, long after whales forgot those characters even exist. I assume high constellations is what you mean by P2W, because you certainly can't mean that just having all the characters is P2W.

If you thought they were literally never going to rerun character banners, that's on you, not Mihoyo.

I'm not going to defend their prices, but anyone that thought these would be one time events is ignorant beyond belief. The "limited time" tag is just a timeframe for this current banner, not forever.

They could say something more direct to state it one way or another. "Limited time recurring event" or whatever. Anything to definitively indicate characters will or will not be returning, but that would hurt their bottom line and give people peace if they knew they weren't ACTUALLY missing out.

I absolutely assume mihoyo would do something as scummy as making characters actually one-time acquisition exclusive to drive sales.
