LOL, considering almost all of the terrorist attacks for the last 5 years or so have been by white nationalists/Trump supporters. I will stick with the better side. And without progress, we would still be owning slaves, women wouldn't have rights, minorities wouldn't have rights, no one but land owners could vote, gays couldn't marry, and a bunch of other things. You are welcome.
What's so silly about conservatives who try and deny that the majority of terrorist attacks are perpetuated by other conservatives is that the archetypical terrorist who they envision is also a conservative. Their (irrational, at least in the West) fear of Islamic terrorism is a fear of conservatives who have a dogmatic belief in their faith and are xenophobic. Right now Antifa has become the new scapegoat that is convenient for them as it allows them to now circumvent dealing with the cognitive dissonance that comes with their fear of Islamic terrorism, but they then have to broaden the definition of terrorism to the point that any riot could be considered an act of terrorism.

I am talking the last 35-40 years for the US. Between Muslim extremists and white nationalist/Trump supporting terrorists in the US, almost all of them have been right wing. The shooting at the Republican baseball practice, might be about the only one for left wing, and even then no one died but the shooter. Like the last mass casualty event from a left winger was probably a Weather Underground attack, and their last attack was in 1977.

And what we're concerned about is the ideology behind the rash of current and recent violence.
Not settled issues from half a century ago.
Nobody's argued that left-wing views lack the potential for violent action. Just that it's not happening, here in the 21st Century. The violence and terrorism in this century thus far has been almost exclusively right-wing in nature.
Hey Spammy McSpammerson.
Leftism didn't storm the capital, killing several people.
Leftism didn't run over someone at a protest where the night before a KKK rally was held.
Leftism didn't ignore science to politicize a pandemic resulting in half a million dead.
Leftism didn't cover a van in pro-Trump stickers and mail bombs across the country.
Leftism didn't book a flight to Cancun when their state was in crisis.
Leftism didn't block a SCOTUS nomination under one president to push through one under another.
I could go on.

Do you ever get tired of being an apologist for awful people?
Ah yes, so much debunking of what @Lenonis said, much wow.
Literally everyone at the capitol that stormed the building were Trump terrorists, nothing more.
And everything he said on his list is true.
The first giveaway that you're not speaking in your own voice and parroting someone else is by using the term "leftist." It's a signal to everyone else in the thread that you're brainwashed by some wanker on youtube.

True, either way they learned that term from someone who's obviously a propagandist of some sort. No serious person walks around describing people as "leftists."
Maybe I'm just cursed in hearing the word in Ben Shapiro's nassally voice and cringe whenever I see it in print.
