Can't wait to see all the troll-body type/voice mismatch.
Not sure if Blizzard is unintentionally making this more of an insult to these people by under-(or over-?)estimating their community.

I'll be honest, I have no time for America's current fascination with 1000 genders; but this doesn't bother me in the slightest. Have any of you actually seen how people role play characters? It's a fantasy game and people have been doing odd things in it since it came out.
Toggle option is the way forward imo, those that want this can have it, those that don't can keep things as is. You don't win by forcing changes upon people, change takes time and people are resistant to it but throwing this down people's throats is the wrong way to go about it.

Well... but that would still be a thing in group content which, in this game, is designed around random players as well you have never met.
Dunno, I'd probably feel a bit insulted if I actually care about that kind of thing and out of 40 players (or how many are in LFR again?) 33 are supposedly totally trans for real/whatever you call it.
edit: just imagine your whole raid full of female Lalas in FFXIV with that *one* voice set that is extremely annoying.
But now no one is an actual Lala and everyone is playing with the blue-guy model, but with the same annoying Lala voice.

Correct, it was a fantasy game. But now it's a fantasy game that has to adhere to certain very specific gender "neutrality" options that are being enforced by real world issues. Making it not so much fantasy anymore and less enjoyable if you're looking to spend some time away from all troubles.
