Hey bro, if Musk obtaining twitter was about free speech then why is Musk banning people for impersonating him? Conservatives say it's because they broke TOS. But the entire reason conservatives were being banned was because they were breaking the TOS against threats of violence and hate speech. So do you like the TOS bans or hate them? Or perhaps you only like it if it's in your favor?

Anyway, seems the "Red wave" didn't really make it to shore. While Republicans expected to make huge gains, they're crying in their cereal that their gerrymandering didn't work as well as they'd hoped, and are already flinging conspiracies about election fraud. Can't you guys just accept an election outcome?

The red wave is almost here. Polls close in some states in just 33 minutes.

    It’s time to save America!

Generation Z is destroying the country at the ballot box.
As a millennial who is responsible for destroying countless industries like the canned tuna industry and the plastic utensil industry, I welcome our younger Gen-Z friends to being the all-powerful destroyers of everything who are also simultaneously terrified to pick up any unknown number on their phone.

Dude, I am a center right in France meaning I am overall a leftist for the US. So I am quite happy that the Republican got rekt.

Because its the only win they got, everyone else either struggled to get over the line or simply fell short.

Oh to add to my disappointment, I must emphasize Wisconsin.

Ron Johnson was incumbent and I had a strong feeling he was going to win. So why disappointed. Well Johnson was being Ron with election denial and really, really competing to be the worst Senator of them all.

Most important and I should look at exit pols, but I stated in another post about Wisconsin is I'm betting the "tough on crime" effed Barnes. I can see Wisconsin really turning on this and we all the the secret about what crime Republicans and Independents are scared of. I could be wrong, I stated I don't know how well Barnes ran a campaign and who turned out.

To combine my on post of me in Minnesota with all 3 branches controlled by Dems and now we can go full socialist, commie and let crime run free. Sad to my neighbors in the east. They always have been different. We generally think of Wisconsin as northern Florida.
Democrats are the best! I will never ever question a Democrat again. I LOVE the Democrats!

Chase's page has him attacking the patriot act, stripping police of their qualified immunity, ending mandatory minimum sentences, ending prosecution on victimless crimes, making immigration easier, ending the war on drugs as well as legalizing weed. Virtually everyone voting for him would rather go Warnock than Walker given the policies. Even if they were just a Republican protest vote, they will be forced to either vote the Democrat, stay home, or admit their entire ideology is a lie even to themselves voting for Walker.

So, overall, Warnock wins short of some fuckery to make it harder to vote strategically like Kemp is known for.

If that were the case they would remember when the NRA was caught funneling money from Russia to the GOP and Trump or when Trump asked, on camera, if he could just take Americans guns NOW and deal with the legal process later after the Vegas shooter.

If they have a long memory, it's also highly selective.
The gun nuts don't care about corruption, they only care about their right to shoot brown people. We saw that with Reagan's era.

    It's all they have.

Also - the peeps in the GQP who can actually think critically and are looking ahead to 2024, are parading DeSantis as the new party leader.

Trump is a roving train wreck, and his disaster has struck yet again, utterly destroying what really should have been a Yuge win for the Republicans. Now, thanks in large part to Trump, House control is still in question. And even with control of the House, it will be a two-year nightmare for McCarthy/Whomever.

If that was the case they would be furious about Trump asking if he could take their guns specifically because they were attempting to shoot people after the Vegas shooting where the guy unloaded on hundreds of them from a hotel balcony.

Agreed that they don't care about corruption or even America unless they control it, but they should care about a politician using them as an excuse to take American guns. But they looked the other way.

    Edit:

They don't care about the guns so much, they care about power.

These are people who want guns while they aren't in power but the moment they actually secured power and made sure the voters could never legally remove them regardless of turn out, they would seek to remove guns at that point to protect their power.

Since we can't call out Trolls and Bad Faith posters and the Ignore function doesn't actually ignore it. Add
    "mmo-champion.com##li.postbitignored"
to your ublock or adblock filter to actually ignore ignored posters. Now just need a way to ignore responses to them as well.

Like I said, they did it during Reagan's era too. The gun nuts have never actually cared about tyranny or whatever else they bang on about. They don't even know what tyranny *is*. Trump was the closest we've ever had to a tyrant, at least in the past 150 years or so, and they loved the guy.

Agreed, sorry. I added a quick edit on it on the previous post which kinda said something related to this take.

For all of the memes about their fortnight dances and tiktok challenges, Gen Z is indeed a huge problem for the GOP.

Why would anyone in Gen Z vote for someone in the GOP moving forward? Unless they were raised in a conservative household (and even then they could easily jump political ship, as it were) there's very little reason for them to find any appeal in the republican party.

They don't have the luxury of an easy economy the baby boomers did where they're falsely swayed into thinking the government is the one keeping them from success. It's never been more patently obvious, especially to young working people, that greed from the corporate and housing sectors due to a lack of government control is what's keeping them down. They've no reason to believe that the vaunted "trickle down economics" they're supposed to be experiencing right now will somehow start to work out in their favor.

Gen Z also seems to be in fair lock-step against the various social boogeymen the GOP has constructed as well. They aren't afraid of gay people. They aren't afraid of minorities. They aren't disgusted by the thought of trans people. They don't have the same disdain for the poor and down-on-their-luck. They aren't as evangelized as the generations before them.

So I again posit, especially to any conservative posters around here... why in the hell would any young person vote for a republican? What could today's GOP possibly offer them to make their lives better?

Let's see how Fox is handling this -

    https://twitter.com/therecount/statu...33789137289218

"a searing indictment of the Republican party."

    https://twitter.com/Acyn/status/1590303243711938561

"How is this not a red wave?"

(Note, they're reading off the same script)

    https://twitter.com/justinbaragona/s...07309334339586

"The polling held up pretty well tonight."

(Also I guess they still bring Karl Rove back on for election night?)

Man, Fox is huffing some real serious copium right now.

I'm comparing Texas and Ohio's gubernatorial election results, and Ohio seems to be the redder of the two.

  18. #1558
I gotta wonder with the Republican party finally starting to turn on Trump if we will see some of their party secretly start to help prosecutors going after him get a conviction to get the man out of the party. How do you remove a tumor that Trump is to the party, you throw it in prison. It would make it so you would no longer have a possible Trump v DeSantis scenario.

The dakotas and AK look to have shot down their marijuana ballot measures, while MO and MD approved theirs, with CO waving a giant banner with the word "DRUGS!" on it approving the regulation and sale of mushrooms.

Moving costs money, my family lives here, and there's no guarantee I can get as good of a job (relative to buying power and cost of living) elsewhere?
