    Need help on RAM upgrade

I'm looking to upgrade my RAMs.

    My motherboard is:
ROG STRIX Z690-A GAMING WIFI D4
    https://rog.asus.com/dk/motherboards...wifi-d4-model/

I need 2x 32 GB ram sticks, 64 GB in total. I have found these 2 here:

    3600 MHz / CL16 (16-22-22-42)

    Vs.

    4400 MHz / CL19 (19-26-26-46)

Which one to pick?? The price is the same for these 2.

Depends if you need speed or latency more. What do you do with the pc

Isn't the latency broadly similar for both sets? 8.6ns for the 4400Mhz vs 8.9ns for the 3600Mhz (if I'm doing it right)

It's difficult to make a recommendation without further information but if both sets are from a well known brand and available from a reputable seller I would pick the 4400Mhz although in the day to day use it is unlikely that you would notice any difference between either set.

I'd get the 4400Mhz sticks and run them at 4000MHz gear 1 and something like CL17-21-21-X timings (X because tRAS is a deprecated timing which has no effect on DDR4+).

    CPU is 12700k

I wonder if I pick the 4400MHz if they will go directly to 4400MHz with XMP enabled?? I don't want to manual adjust timings on the ram. I can be bothered to select XMP and that's it.

    No OC on CPU either.

Go for the 4400 as it should XMP just fine and your Mobo supports it.
