Hitting the World button at the bottom supposedly refreshes...

The button will be greyed out, but you can click the 'world' button on the launcher and when the server's are up the log in button will go green. So when the servers are due up, just keep clicking 'world' on the launcher, then click the 'close' button on the pop up. Then click the green button on the launcher as usual when it's up. It prevents you having to exit the launcher and type in your password/authentication each time.

My download only took like a minute so I guess I should be grateful I avoided the problems others were having. Since I'm rather poor I'm probably not gonna be able to snag a home in Shirogane but hopefully I can get a small house elsewhere.

What server are you on if I may ask?

If I assume you are NA then for servers like Balmung and Gilgamesh it will be carnage.

Servers like Zalera, Mateus and Goblin might take a while to fill.

I'm on Midgardsormr, so not the highest population server but still has a decent number.
