Anyone else spacebar through absolutely everything?

I've tried a few different classes up to the early 20's and made an effort to watch the cutscenes, but eventually I had to stop and ask myself: "Am I having fun?" The answer was no. I've had whole sessions of gaming where I've done nothing but running from point A to point B listening to the dialogue. Maybe I have little patience, but honestly I didnt find the class stories compelling either. So now I just play the game the way I enjoy it. I find myself having a blast and logged in far more often when I know I can just mash my keyboard and get to the good stuff.

I only space bar through the quests I've done a lot. Other than that I really enjoy it, it's a hell of a lot better than walls of text that I wouldn't read. Makes me feel more immersed in the game

I spacebar through side quests I've seen for the 14th time... damn you beta weekends!

I spacebar-skipped my way through the majority of quests, though I did stop to watch some of my class quests from time to time (some cutscenes after some boss fights are worth the 5 seconds).

I play with subtitles on, and can read fairly quickly. When the choices come up, I usually do the following:

    Make the light/dark decision.
Choose a response that is a form of a question, for more social points when grouped with others.
Choose a response that ends the convo, when I am questing alone and just want to skip.

I am a big star wars fan, but none of the story is very interesting to me at all in this game, and the cutscenes waste valuable time.

If you're not skipping stuff now, you will be in a month or two.

Only on occasion. Like when I've done the quest before, or when they're not speaking basic. Fun to listen to the huttese and such for a bit, but after a while you just start to recognize how much they reuse with that. So I often skip that - after I read the subtitles that is.

generally speaking no. Sometimes I'll be tired or not have all the tiem in the universe so once I read the text ill space bar through even if the VO isn't finished. Skipping through everything is kinda missing the point if you haven't seen it before

When on alts I don't even quest anymore, I just can't be arsed. Except for the class story quests, I don't get why you would skip those...
On my main however I never skipped the discussions, it's totally against what the game is all about.

I only spacebar through things I've seen ALOT before (which at this point is next to nothing) and when Aliens are speaking, when I just read the text and tap through them wierd squeeks and gobbles.

I do. The voiceacting and cutscenes are pretty poor, waste of budget if you ask me.

I spacebar through stuff I've heard before, and spacebar through alien speech (because honestly, who needs to listen to 'AGH BLOO MUCHAKA FWEE NYUN' for the 500th time?), but if it's stuff I haven't heard before then I'll listen. Good story telling for the most part.

God yes, I tend to skip past the majority of the quests. Time to time I don't, like some class quests and flashpoints and so if I haven't done it before.
Got fed up with all the voice acting quite fast, even tho the voice acting is good for the most part.

I spacebar on everything. 30 day game for me.

I have subtitles turned on so once I'm done reading the text, I will spacebar skip. I don't skip for class quests though, only side quests.

only quests i skipped through was the non class quests .. oh and all of corellia; Ilum & Belsavis because those story arcs are pretty good, but my second go around ill be skipping everything except for the story arcs for my class even though my alt is another sith warrior but ill be speccing into Juggs this time around.

Yes. I have been questing for the last couple days and I am just so sick of it now. I'm actually not even playing atm, I think I will take a break for a few days. Most of the irritation comes from the fact that every single character in this game (that isn't speaking some wierd alien language) is done by a British actor. It gets extremely old very fast.

Normally I love a good British accent, but it's just so over done in this game that I started listening to music and reading the dialogue. It also doesn't help that 90% of the VA is done by the same 3 people.

Of course there are a lot more things that I am disappointed about.

    - no macros
    - ability animation delay
    - no key modifiers (to condense abilities)
    - camera always pivots to face the front
    - Warzones are really laggy (FPS)
    - All my SI abilities are purple lightning. How many different ways can we animate purple lightning?

Overall I want to keep playing because I am a big SW fan, but I just keep getting bored/irritated.

your assumption there is actually incorrect.

If your skipping dialogs are over within 3 secs...so you got your quick quest pickup and we get to enjoy the dialogs.

Besides the voice quest picking the game is the same as any other MMORPG is. So I don't understand arguments that questing is boring...when you are going to play a MMORPG you will be doing a lot of random killing and gather drops for quests. What else would you expect.

I do not use the space bar. I Love the story.. love getting into the story. Plus If I try and get through it quick I might end up clicking light side and atm I dont 0 light side points so would hate to ruin that by not listening to the story and quest and accidentally clicking the wrong thing. So yes I deff love the feature and I dont use spacebar at all & wont use it. Makes questing alot funner when your into the story.
