    Quick and easy refund process

    For diablo 3.

    Well, relatively quick.

Call their support line and go to technical issues (5) since 7 results in a "the queue is full" and hangs up on you.

Then explain that you would like a refund and within a minute they will have you sorted out. Takes about 5 to 10 business days for it to show up in your account.

    Surprisingly headache free.

    Refund...for what? The game itself?

Yeah I've never really heard of any PC games being refundable, especially once you've used the CD-key.

Yes. Upon your return, I will gift you a beautiful flower."

You can get Diablo 3 refunded within 30 days of purchase. It's in the TOS. But I can't imagine why anyone would want to, really...

    It's just that awesome

    Yes, the game.

Sorry, thought with it being a diablo 3 sub forum it went without saying.

There's some discontent people and I figured letting them know its possible to get a refund both quickly and easily would be nice.

Me and about 6 of my friends have all gotten refunds so far.

Hope the people that are dissatisfied with the game get their refunds.
With enough refunds then it would pose as a 'red-flag' for blizz and they would try to improve their game in any way possible. (They'll be trying to do that anyways, but it will 'motivate' them even more.)

*Yes I'm still enjoying the game. after 150+ hours of played

Well... Good for you? I mean why the hell would you want to do this. You played the damn game, people worked on it for years, don't they deserve something for it? It's not like the game is unplayable or some other valid reason to get a refund for it.

    My reasons are irrelevant.

I am merely posting this information for the people who might be interested such as those in the Loss of interest thread.

Since you clearly have not lost interest in diablo 3 this thread isn't really for you.

Although you are free to have your own reasons for wanting a refund, I assume that you have had it for ~2 weeks and have played a fair amount to "lose interest". Would be interesting to know your /played , anyone that is over 8-10 hours shouldn't be able to get a refund IMO. The fact Blizzard even allows 30 days for a refund is pretty damn all-star. No other developer currently offers that.

I'm not debating the fact that the 30 day refund is great. However, not a lot of people know about it who would like to use it.

For example, I didn't know about it until yesterday when I found out via the diablo 3 forums.

Had I known earlier, I would have refunded earlier.

One less complaining person to deal with. If they are gonna be inpatient on a BRAND NEW GAME and expect it to be perfect out of the box clearly they haven't played new video games for long.

I should really find something worthwhile to put here now...

I don't really see the need for the discussion about whether or not the refund is justified in this thread. OP is just giving very useful information to a small group of people.

Does this only work for digital download? Or will they refund if it was a box?

It makes no difference. In the end the real deal is the game key and since that one has been locked to the battle.net account they can treat a boxed version and a digital version in the same way.

edit. This is only assumption by logic tho, blizzard might have different logic or lack logic but I highly doubt that.

@op : did you have a digital or box edition?
If it was box edition did you had to send it back?

It's for my own information since I don't intend to return my copy of D3 (70 hours /played here and counting )
But still awesome policy, kudos to Blizzard.
I wish I had the same possibility with SWToR, sigh...

Except there is the cost of the box itself.
So I'd imagine you'd have to return it?

I'm surprised the 30-day guarentee exists, if all games had that I could play for free forever and kill the industry again (80's and 90's pirate - sorry Spectrum and Amiga I was young, ignorant and poor).

Would only be more cost for them. They can't just use it again since it has been used already so essentialy it would become waste. Also they do not really seem to care about the cost of the box/cd at the selling end since both box and digital are same price. I would imagine that a collector's edition would require mailing the real object stuff to blizzard for a refund to be applicable, if applicable at all.

Not refunding Diablo 3 because I do like it but if someone doesn't, don't hesitate.

I hesitated with Mass Effect 3 hoping my frustration was just due to being "shocked" by the ending so I didn't ask for a refund hoping it would pass and I'd learn to appreciate the game, or maybe they were just holding back a massive "GOTCHA" ending DLC (which they already stated isn't true), and now I feel like I flushed 70 euros down the toilet.

Feel like you hate the game? Get a refund. If later you do feel like you were wrong then just buy it again.
