Nope, funny thing was, I did a AC run and got an ugly rounded hat, however I logged in on one of those unanounced stress tests and it was changed to that pirate hat. I was like - awesome, I just didn't know it was for Sylvari.

Well maybe the gem shop sells something similar but even cooler?

Edit, just noticed Norn gets them also and char gets a erm... lol a half arsed one? lol

The gem shop has a pirate suit, but I think it is town clothes only if I remember right.

Tier 3 male human cultural set is the only one that's really appealing to me. Everything else is just dark and dreary - not the way I envision my Guardian. Then again, I may feel differently when they're ON him and blown up on my screen.

Well just remember, vicious, that you can dye all of the armor. So keep that in mind. I'm betting that will change the dark and dreary look on all of the armor.

Those Orrian sets are amazing. The plant ones are awesome too, including the Sylvari cultural armor.

Well just remember, vicious, that you can dye all of the armor. So keep that in mind. I'm betting that will change the dark and dreary look on all of the armor.

I know, but the theme of the armors are "dark" to me - rams horns and the like tend to symbolize the demonic. Not saying they don't look good - they look wonderful - just that they don't really meet my style. They seem to either be dark (as mentioned) or plain. Just my opinion, of course.

Also, it should be noted that I'm talking about the human heavy armors. I'll be a guardian for my main and won't play an alt for awhile so that's specifically what I'm talking about.

Human cultural armors are pretty guardian-y to me.

Dungeon armors go either way for the most part.

LOL i'm on the Exact sme situation (except for the race). I was 99,9% sure i was going norn female Ranager (aka medium armor), but the cosmetic sets look MUCH better on male characters....choices choices!!! garrr

I must say I didn't like any of human medium armors... actually they are terrible. Heavy armors are waaay better.
