Yep, I think it is one of the banned cards right now, although Yugioh tournament scene is atrocious because it doesn't have any different formats and it is all an eternal format with banned and reserved lists.

Umm . . . my friend (let's call him A) was facing another friend (B). B had a final countdown or final destination or what ever it's called (in 20 moves the enemy loses is what it does), but A managed to pull out a complete bullshit strat that ended up in him winning on the final turn, and it pretty much ended with him directly attacking B with a monster with like 480 health . . . .and it did exact damage. From how he described it, it was fucking amazing :P I would link all of the cards and shit, but i honestly don't know the cards he used.

Why didn't A have a Mystical Space Typhoon or Heavy Storm. Best way to counter anyone who uses Destiny Board or Final Countdown. If you lose to either of those, you deserve the loss, yo. Especially Final Countdown, 20 turns and not a single card to destroy it? Lame.

Metamorphosis is basically a useless card now. Most fusion monsters now cannot be summoned without polymerization (or a polymerization look-alike).

How do you stop it?

Indestructible doesn't prevent everything. If a card allows you to "exile" an artifact or permanent, it will effectively kill an indestructible card.

However, if it's a one-on-one game, and you lose against that card, you truly deserve to lose.

Final countdown goes to the grave as soon as it's played. So destroying it wouldn't really do anything unless you had a trap ready to go as soon as it was played, which you may have at the time but sometimes you just dont. Of course he had a mystical space typhoon (not sure if he had a heavy storm) but he probably didn't have it at the time.
