Buying swtor?

Im curious guys, i searched on google and couldnt really get an awser, the thing is i see swotr for sale around here and all, and i'm kinda curious what happens if I buy the game nowadays since its totaly free, is there any real benefit to buying the game over just getting a sub?

You get a months of subscriber status, and your account is permanently flagged as premium/preferred. So I don't think there's any benefit over a sub unless you're finding the game for like $10 or something cheaper than the sub.

Isn't it free? You don't need to buy it, as far as I understand, you can download client for free, then subscribe if you want. You get preferred status once sub runs out, and you get something like 5$ worth of cartel points with a sub.

It is free but you can still buy it from various places if you want to, though there isn't much reason to do that unless you find it for less than $15.
