    10M Lei Shen Static Shock

So, my guild just got to Lei Shen tonight and we put in a few attempts. Didn't get past the first transition for a few reasons but the one problem we are having is the Static Shock Damage. On some pulls we were getting hit for well over 400K even while stacked. Maybe some of you can put some insight into it.

"Damage of Static Shock increases as the Power and Level of the North Conduit increases".

1 energy = 1% extra damage, or in another way, 1 energy = 4k extra damage to static shock. Levels just count as 100 energy in terms of damage, as well as causing more debuffs to go out.
A level 1 conduit with 50 energy would send out 1 debuff hitting for 600k
A level 2 conduit with 0 energy would send out 2 debuffs hitting for 800k
A level 2 conduit with 50 energy would send out 2 debuffs hitting for 1M.
    And so on.

Also worth remembering, Lei Shen levels up every conduit when transition phases start, so the very least amount of damage static shock will do in transitions, if you put 0 energy into that conduit, is 800k.

A lot of classes can solo a static shock, which helps considerably if your lucky enough to have those players get them. Pallies can bubble, hunters can deterrence, mages can ice block, etc...just make sure they call out that they are soloing it so ppl don't stack.

like Bormes said, try to split your groups out to where at least one person can solo soak in each sector. in the group of 2s make one at least a tank and someone else who can take a lot of damage and/or heal and/or cds.

I didn't Take the initial level up of the conduit once the transition starts, so the dmg makes more sense now.

That would probably help alot considering another problem is the Bouncing Bolts, since we are stacking with the group of 2 we were having a pain getting both bolts if we got unlucky

You can try splitting the groups 1-1-4-4 with the 1's being the tanks. You will get big adds from the bouncing bolts when it doubles in the 1 quadrant, but they are easy to deal with. Tanks have enough self heals to stay alive just fine. I would advise splitting the 1-1 groups and 4-4 groups across from each other though.

I agree. Using this tactic will help you out a lot.

We should ask, which conduit are you trying to disable? changes the tactics a lot for the 2nd phase.

We "disable" static shock first in heroic, so this can apply to normal mode. The key is splitting groups with soakers, and having a healer in the groups of 3. Static shock is probably the easiest of all to deal with. In first transition you need to plan groups, during p2 just move closer to boss and have people stand on the edge of the blue ring, in transition 2 it's even easier with more people / soakers and last phase (if on heroic) most of your group can immunity it.

This means no Chain and no adds in t2, so you can stack. You can level it up if your DPS is low or just take it to ~95, then move and move on each subsequent conduit below 95 if your DPS is high.

    Disable Overcharge Next
If you level it, you will get doubles. Because you disable Diffusion Chain though, you can just stack in the center of your quadrant the majority of the time. You just have to move to soak Bolts, then restack for Overcharge/Static Shock.

    Run 4-4-1-1
Each tank solos a quadrant. It's helpful if the quadrant you assign to one of the tanks is where you'll be starting after the transition so they just have to taunt the boss towards them rather than running around. Tank quadrants will only get Bouncing Bolts and if they get two Bolts, just soak one, pick up the add, and soak the other. A tank should have no problem holding an add or two for the phase and they may even kill it. During t2, go 4-4-2 where both tanks go to the same quadrant.

Spread healers and DPS evenly between the other two quadrants; class comp doesn't really matter for those. Be spread during t1 so you don't chain Diffusion. During t1, make sure you're spread a bit so Diffusion doesn't chain, soak Bolts, stack for Static, stack for Overcharge. Watch the Diffusion cd timer; you will have to wait a few seconds before stacking for a few of the Statics/Overcharges. During t2, just stack in the center, soak Bolts, and restack.

This strat doesn't depend on people having immunities for Static Shock because you'll always have 4 people to soak it for very little damage. It also gives you the flexibility to level Overcharge in p2 if you need to and easily handle it because you can just stack most of t2.
    This might help.
