I'm going with the write in vote: No, I wouldn't want to play on anything other than a current server.

If I had to pick one, Wrath all the way. It has all the quality of life things (LFG, dual spec) but still has a bit of nostalgia to it. And paladins aren't horrible to play then.

No. Why would you want things to be stagnant?

Even stagnant Vanilla or TBC is still better than Kung Fu Pandas and Pokemon. "Stagnant" Vanilla or TBC is still Warcraft while World of Pokemon & Kung Fu Pandas isn't.

That aside, I don't think they will make stagnant servers. Instead the will make servers which start off say patch 1.5 and progressively apply the other patches like it really happened so you can get the full experience.

I wouldnt. Perhaps a wotlk server, but there are already "servers" out there which you can play on, and when I tried the vanilla and tbc ones, I immediately quit playing them. xD

i'd go to the wrath server and never look back. well, if they made another one like wrath, then yeah, i'd go back to the normal servers. but until then, wrath server 5eva. cuz 5 iz bigger den 4.

No. I played them, and would be bored of old content that doesn't get updated.

probably none, i mean i played in classic only got to the 3rd boss in bwl before tbc and raided all of tbc, so i'd rather not do that again, i got to try classic naxx on the PTR with a pre-made pala in T2, it was mostly a lag fest but i got to see the place in action in wrath so, going back and doing the place with 3 healing spells instead of say 6, not much hype for me there.

all in all any rolled back server only has so much shelf life, eventually you get all you can and get bored.

i don't think classic wow has a place in current day mmo gaming, it was fun, mysterious and challenging, not to mention riddled with bugs glitches and imbalance.

although having said all that, i do miss class diversity from classic, like every class had a place which is a little hard to really explain now, but it felt more right.

Warcraft III is stagnant yet people still play it. In addition, League Of Legends, basically Warcraft III under a different name, is today even more popular than WoW itself.

Probably BC, I'm already in well established Blizzlike vanilla server so I have no need for one anymore. But a lack of proper BC place for me that's what I'd pay for.

i would probably play on a BC server but only under a few circumstances. i most likely wouldnt pay for a sub, i dont play WoW right now basically because i dont think the game is worth my $15 a month (completely my own opinion) but i most certainly dont think its worth my $15 a month seeing as how i played throughout that entire time period and seen all the content when it was relevant minus black temple and sunwell.

i would also probably only play so long as the game was all reverted back to the BC template, skills, talents trees, classes and everything would have to be reverted back to what they were when BC was current. also, it would probably not be nearly as fun if it wasnt for my friends, so a good chunk of them would also have to play from time to time.

lot of requirements that im 99% sure will never happen so its basically a moot point. however if you could fulfill those requirements then yes i would play on a BC server and possibly even a WOTLK server under the same circumstances

Of the choices I went with Wotlk, but tbh I would probably stick to the up to date servers mainly. MoP has actually turned out to be a fairly decent expansion which shocked the hell out of me. When they announced it I wasn't pleased at all, but its been a pleasant surprise.

I'd try out the vanilla and TBC ones just to freshen up some memories, was really nice to play back then but I'd still stick to the current expansion, because well, nothing new will happen there

If I HAD to choose, I'd take the Cata- or WotLk-server, hands down. Why? Well, Vanilla and TBC were fun back then but hell, I wouldn't want to go back again. :O

Then get the FK out of this thread,No one forces you to share you oppinion here,and if you don't like "vanilla" thread's dont enter them. People who cry about wow are annoying enough,but people who cry that vanilla was not that great and just have to enter threads to whine about it is even worse!
