Background
And so it came to pass that there was a thread created on MMO-Champion in people were able to participate in a discussion on who was the right and honourable winner of something they hadn't really defined. There were a lot of participants, but not everyone would be able to win. After a while, everyone settled on a course of action. They would among themselves regulary decide who was not worthy and ban that person from said thread eventually ending up with just a few winners. And everyone thought that was a marvellous idea.

General
You are free to discuss whatever you want, claim whatever you want, and draw whatever conclusions you want. Just remember that anything can be faked.
Once you are dead, you may only post in the thread for dead players, so do not continue to post in your faction's thread if you were in one. Also, please keep communication with alive players to a minimum so you do not give anybody an unfair advantage. If you post as a dead player in this thread, your post(s) will be deleted.
Editing of posts after 10 minutes is forbidden.
Editing votes is forbidden.
Deleting posts is forbidden.
Quoting/Screenshotting/using anything provided by moderators in a PM/QT as evidence is forbidden, this includes but is not limited to providing a link to your forum. This also includes trying to compare how parts of your role is written with other players.
PMing other players in the game about the game is forbidden.

With the revelation of a players death, the role card (slightly rmodified) iof that player will be revealed.

Questions
If you have a question, you can always ask in the game thread. This will be considered to be part of the game and it will be up to the other players if they wish to reply or not. A mod will only reply if the question matters to all (i.e. mod has forgotten to write a deadline in the morning post). If it is the mod you're asking, the chance of getting a reply to a "personal" question in the game thread is low. Better send a PM with your question to BOTH mods.

The phases
Day
Unless stated otherwise in your PM, everyone has one vote per day to use to decide who to lynch. You can always change your vote, or even have no current vote. Once a player has gotten a majority (more than half) of the votes, they are immediately lynched and may no longer post in the thread - if you have information you need to make public, make sure you say it before you get that last vote. The day will go on until someone reaches the required number of votes for a lynch or the town decides to no-lynch.

Put your decision in Bold Letters and on its own line (ex: UNVOTE VOTE XXXXXXX)
To vote for someone, use "VOTE: [Player]"
To remove your vote, use "UNVOTE"
To change your vote, use "UNVOTE VOTE: [OtherPlayer]" to cancel your previous vote and change the vote to lynch [OtherPlayer]
To vote for a no-lynch, use VOTE: NO-LYNCH
A vote that is not bolded or on its own line will not count. Both the word "vote" and the player name need to be bolded.

To peg someone as a suspicious candidate that you would potentially vote for, without actually voting, use the Finger of Suspicion; FoS: Krayzy

The day phase lasts a maximum of 72 horus. (3 days)

Dusk
From the time of the last vote until the mod calls night, it is dusk. You may still talk, but no votes can be changed. Dusk will last until mod has posted a night message at which time there'll be night.

Night
Everyone with a night action may post their action in their designated place.

No players are allowed to discuss anything in the game thread (this thread) at this time (it's night, you're asleep!) for any reason. If a bump is wanted, mod will ask for it from someone who isn't playing. Action WILL be taken.

The Night Phase will last a maximum of 24 hours.

The game will start at night.

A rather common order.

Setup
Roles are based around the character in some way. This could be from a specific memorable play. It could be from something derived from the players name or avatar. It could also be something from the player's more general play style. It could be from the players statistics. We have tried to chose characters base on the players commitment to MMO-C mafia; more games, slightly more likely - less games, slightly less likely, but we have not always done so. How recent also plays a part. What character chosen and what role that character is, is subordinate to getting a good role though. Don't be upset if your character is not in the game or you think your character should have been another role. Mine and Krayzy's memory goes a rather good while back. Game 4b for Krayzy and Game 9 for me, so there's a lot of characters to chose from.

To make a difference between a player and a character with the same name, any character name written by the mod will always be in italic text.

Day 1

After a short discussion on the fluffyness of pillows the posters decided to steer the topic onto more serious matter. Not enough people could agree to be serious enough to actually ban someone from the thread so eventually they passively decided that they'd take care of the problem another day. And then went to sleep.

Day 2

After some argument and some claims of posting for the better of the thread and some other claims of willingness to post better for the thread later and some claims for bad things to possibly come, the posters eventually agreed that Kumduh(Waker) was probably not posting with the best intent they decided to spamreport all of his posts and he eventually got banned from the thread.

Day 3

As the day progress the discussion went back and fourth on who was contributing the least to the thread. Some thought that silence was the greatest vice while others thought misleading and still others thought jumping to the wrong conclusions were. As dusk drew closer, the town seemed to begin to agree that falbacca(Danner) should no longer be among them. And as the last bit of the sun disappeared behind the horizon they all agreed on that. Worgenite(Uggorthaholy) wouldn't have any of that and went on a rampage eventually getting banned as well.

Day 4

Some rumours somehow appeared out of nowhere and settled somewhere on the web. They spoke of someone who was responsible for the recent hacker attack. Someone connected some dots and threw some accusations. Someone else connected some other dots and threw some other accusations. In the end, foxximcleod(Silkku) was found to be banned.

Day 5

No one really knew for certain if they had managed to catch the right one for the hacking the other night but just to be certain everyone caught up on another rumour that had spread the previous day and made sure Boomckn(Firebert) was banned from the thread.

After 2 days of having their hands held and led to a lynch it looks like the town has forgotten how to do any sort of critical thinking on their own.

The day ends with everyone inside their houses and not even bothering to try and lynch someone.

As every does their normal morning update of the thread they notice some tracks of deleted posts. There's also some strange avatars in front of some of the names. It seems that Anakso(Rollo), Firebert(Rigimi44) and Lysah(Cattaclysmic) have all been banned from the thread. Perhaps someone said something they shouldn't have or maybe someone posted an image they shouldn't have.

While everyone else is asleep Greeney(Dyra) thought he got a marvellous idea. If he created a new thread with the same topic that where he was the OP, perhaps he'd have a greater chance of being elected the winner eventually. Unfortunately, he hadn't read the rules and was consequently banned.

While almost everyone was sleeping, someone hacked the forum. Account names and passwords and were adrift, strange announcements were made from the moderators. No one really knew who was to blame but when the dust settled, Danner(Anakso) and Virothe(Xanjori) had both been banned. No one knew if they were the hackers or if the hackers had banned them, but no one could be bothered to delve any further into it.[/i]

Night 4/Day 5

Most of the posters had grown used to a few people being banned overnight. They thought it a bit sad that some people couldn't contain themselves. It seems this night was far from an exception. Three former posters had been banned during the night; Rollo(Celtic), Silkku(Elvinia), and Wass(Worgenite) had gotten into a flamewar during the night and earned themselves some time off.

Again the town woke up to some posters having been banned whie they slept. No one really cared for what and not many cared that some had been banned. That meant they themselves had a higher chance of winning.

Someone said they would investigate but after a while they discovered that all the posts leading to the bans had been deleted.

After a few hours of staring at the empty thread some eventually decided that it might be easier to decide the winner if they filled it with something. The question was with what to fill it. Someone suggested fluff, another a discussion about how firm a pillow should be in order to grant the best sleep and a third that it be filled with gold.

I feel that a pillow should be just firm enough to support one's head, but soft enough that if said person rolls on their side incorrectly it might suffocate them.
