    TESO or Elder Scrolls VI?

Now, I know these games are made by different company divisions.

However, if you've (maybe) been in the beta or seen the game, knowing what you know now, what would you have been more excited for?

A new shiny stand-alone Elder Scrolls VI world with improved combat and (maybe) PvP servers that you can queue for and/or have some sort of an arena system or the current TESO?

So, the stand-alone game that would maybe allow you to queue (and have all stats normalized like GW2) where the PvP is skill based, not gear-based? "The Emperor" or other medals as the reward? Maybe new weapons unlocked for Single Player?

    Just curious on your opinions.

EDIT: Interesting bit of info: The Elder Scrolls V has sold over 20 million copies since release grossing more than US$1.2 billion

Can a MODERATOR please change it so that "public" / guest can vote? I think I missed it - thx in advance

doubt a new elder scrolls would have multiplayer
but would definitely be more excited for a new ES

Similar to when people asked for a multiplayer KOTOR game and were given an MMO to their disappointment, when people asked for multiplayer Elder Scrolls, they didn't mean an MMO Elder Scrolls game.

As a long-time fan of the series, I'm definitely way more interested in Elder Scrolls VI, multiplayer or not.

    ES6 easy.

As a long time player of the series I am not interested in the MMO at all.

pretty much this. TESO is going to go free to play, and they are going to open a hardcore cash shop within months of its release. Im simply waiting for the mod Skywind to finish up and them back to Skyrim for me.

But, would I be pleased with a ES:VI? yes.

I want Bethesda to pull their fucking collective heads out of their singular asses and produce a PROPER FUCKING ELDER SCROLLS GAME. Skyrim was so freaking close, but they just half-assed the whole thing. The engine is fucking terrible, the base game is buggy as hell, and there are so many limitations that it shouldn't have. Anyone who's done their own modding knows what I'm talking about (uGrids, anyone?).

I would kill 100 baby seals to be able to co-op an Elder Scrolls game with a friend. That would be so freaking amazing. I'll be playing TESO with a couple of friends, but it's just not the same. There are so many experiences in Skyrim I'd love to share with friends, but can't.

It really, really annoys me that Skyrim isn't the ES game I've been waiting for - Oblivion was promising for a brighter future, but instead, we just get Oblivion 2.0 with better graphics. Sad face. Don't get me wrong, I do like Skyrim. But I can FEEL all of the lost potential with that game. So, so many things I would love to see it do, but know it can't. I can only hope that the next ES game finally rises to the challenge.

After playing the ESO beta, I have to finally admit that I'm actually hoping more for a PS4 version of Skyrim in the near future than ESO.

So, yes, I'll be in the camp of waiting for an ESVI for the next 5+ years...

I voted for the stand alone (no multiplayer) but a co-op mode would be amazing. Been a fan since Daggerfall......O, the nostalgia.

I'm a nub for not considering that option - Co-Op would be friggin' amazing.

I am happy with Any Elder scrolls game to be honest. TES VI is a long way off though and probably will not see an announcement until a year or two after Fallout 4 is launched.

I also don't think Elder Scrolls VI will have any of those features you mentioned as Bethesda already stated they are keeping the main series single player only. This pretty much means ESO will be the only way of experiencing the Elders Scrolls in a multi-player format officially.

In my opinion it's better this way as it would be near impossible to balance the single player games as multi-player games without making sacrifices similar to the ones that are in ESO already.....

I will probably end up playing both of them at some point, but I would definitely be more excited for a standard single player Elder Scrolls game then for ESO. If they could add some kind of multiplayer support that would be great too. It would be enough that they add the basic support for multiplayer with a server system integrated with the game that would allow people to host their multiplayer sessions and leave the creation of multiplayer content to the modding community. I'm sure there would be plenty of awesome multiplayer mods for all tastes in no time.

    ES6, with coop option.
I will play TESO only if somehow it would be possible to fix animations, with mods or else. Current animations are awful beyond limits. Even games released ten years old had better animations.

A co op game wouldn't be mod friendly.

I'd rather have a TES VI singleplayer game where I could enhance everything with mods as usual.

Co-OP with downloadeable maps would work tho.
